“Hey, Twiggy. What are you doing?”
“Just waiting to see what kind of day we will have.”

“Well, you know it will be hot.”
“On the walk with Mom, I could tell it will be a scorcher. What’s the forecast?”

“Looks like 104° F, which is 40° C.”
“I would say an inside day.”

“I think you are right. At least you don’t live in a dog house.”
“Whatever that is. Have to think of stuff to do.”

“There are your toys. Plenty to play with.”
“True. Some are a little long in the tooth, though.”

“You just got the Bee Mine toy.”
“Yes, I do find it interesting still. Also, Mr. Eel and Watermelon are good friends.”

“You and I can play tuggy too.”
“That’s true. I wish I would win more often.”

Well, I could throw a game or two.”
“Now, Dad. You know that’s not how we roll. What the heck is that stuff?”

“It’s my breakfast. Raisin Bran Crunch with banana. Want some?”
OMG. Looks like something left over from high tide.”

“So I guess that’s a pass.”
“You are very astute, Dad. Now if you had a spare Porterhouse steak, that would be a different story.”
“If this was a Porterhouse steak, we both would be in the wrong house and possibly in a different dimension.”
“Yeah, that doesn’t sound like something you would eat. Would be fun, though.”

So cute, John. ‘Something washed up with the tide’ … omg, that made me laugh! 😂 Huge hugs and ear scratches for Twiggy. Thanks for sharing. Hugs 🤗💕🙂

John, say it’s not so after all those steak and lobster type dinners we had together…remember you, Tom, and Moi 😱. I’m scheduling a one-on-one with Twiggy…we”all get to the bottom of this.🐳

Yeah. Unfortunately we gave up Beef and smokes in 1996 (who’s counting) I think it is one of the reasons I’m still here. The other reasons are too numerous to count. I think of Tom often. He was such a genuine person and a joy to be around. Always loved sharing martinis with him. (much to your chagrin which was fun too.) So there’s the story Big Tuna. You can call off the Senate sub-committee. ❤️

Lucy loved bananas too. She could smell one the minute the peel came off and would be at your feet in a flash. Twiggy will take a little piece now and then but is not keen on them.

Fore a minute, there, I thought Miss Twiggy was angling for some new toys.
LikeLiked by 1 person
She would like to get a new one each day but it is not going to happen even though there are enough in the secret stash place to make that happen for a while.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Would she fall for the toy rotation ploy, whereby you store most of her toys, bring one out periodically, and pretend it’s new?
LikeLiked by 1 person
We tried rotation but she was wise to it. The only item that rotation works on is the chuck-it ball. We have six of them and they stay in the garage. When trade out time comes she loved it like it was new.

That quirk cost her the Nobel Prize. No one cared about the relative temperature changes in a black hole and their effect on the tactile attributes of the chuck-it ball.

Twiggy’s description of your breakfast cereal made me laugh out loud, John! How clever you both are! And I have to agree with her: it does look like something that floated up with the tide. These hot, muggy days are hard on our pups. Monk knows where all the A/C vents are and drapes himself over them, soaking up the cold.
