Views of the Neighborhood – An Other Person’s Treasure.

We are going to take a look at some of the things people have decided they no longer need. Yes, it is another look at the trash. We are catered by Bird Bird Biscuit. Our entertainment is Queen.

Picture of an old time school bus

So let’s go.

Our first view is a kiddie assortment. Maybe outgrown, but the Salvation Army doesn’t pick up.

Last call.

No more lounging at home. Gotta go back to the office.

More kiddie toys and a questionable piece of art.

Coffee table or hide behind. You decide.

After three nights of wine drinking, the Simpsons decided to recover. Getting rid of the evidence was the first item on the agenda.

All I need is this trash can, this chair, and my remote.

The BBQ side of beef was heavier than anticipated.

Do the kiddies know about their thrown out playtoys? ;-I I only remember my own childhood, and as long as i hadn’t demaged my toys by my own nobody was allowed to take them away. Lol Thanks for the interesting insight, John! Enjoy a beautiful Sunday! xx Michael

Always fun to see what others discard. I know a fellow who furnished his apartment with things he found by the garbage.

    Dear John
We always like to have a look at what things people want to get rid of, the pre-loved stuff. We have a free-cycling shelf in our village or people just place it at the end of their drives. It’s especially interesting when people move houses. Not only because we sometimes find something we like but also as it gives you an idea how your neighbours live like.
    Thanks & cheers

I was in high school when “Another One Bites the Dust” came out. In English class, we were having a discussion about Antigone, and a character “bit the dust.” (Yes, I just told you how old I am.) We teenagers howled with laughter!

Good snaps, John. I think I recognize that office chair $149 from Staples. The benefit of having had the office admin budget. I laughed at the side of beef.

Excellent choice of music. I’ll have the Bird Bird Bacon and a biscuit & gravy donut hole (it’s why I came early).

This was fun. Reminds of the people who browse yard sales and walk away. As soon as the leftovers hit the curb, they are there with their car, “Grab that and throw it in the back seat, honey!” The clean-up crew. 🙄 Queen–excellent!!!

These are hilarious, John, especially your accompanying comments! I can just hear Steve Martin with the chair, trash can, and remote — and I’m fascinated by the selection of kiddie toys. Gee, did all the wee ones outgrow their toys at the same time?! One time, I put out a short cabinet with doors (not on trash day) and tagged it “FREE.” Would you believe it was gone within a half-hour?!?

I think that curious piece of ‘art’ has to have come from a Target. One of twelve million, something like that. And those chairs probably were nice once. And that table! That table just said to its owners Take this job and shove it!

So, not 1 thing in the trash I can use to make into an Art Gown. Maybe next time!
Still, there’s almost no such thing as trash if one really thinks about it, and does the right thing by it.
