“The shift whistle just blew. The Rhino and I are off for the day.”

“Yeah, we put in an honest day of hunter and hunted and then knock off.”
“I never knew it was so organized.”
“The Predator and Prey union is pretty strong. Sure has made my life easier.”
“That’s a good thing then.”
“Sure beats sitting out in the cold and dark waiting for a stupid Rhino to make a move.”
“I can see that. The commissary is open.”
“Hope they have salmon sashimi on the menu today. I have my mouth set for that.”

I had no idea Hunter and Hunted had unionized. I’ll have to let Lucky know. Maybe he won’t bark in the middle of the night and can get a good night’s sleep. (And let me get one, too!) Please give Twiggy ear scratches from me. Heck, for this good news, belly rubs, too. Thanks for the smiles, John.

I could make a comment about union demands, but I’ve got a different concern. Every time I see Cheeseburger, I want one. If I knew where I could get a good one, it would be cheeseburger for breakfast: now, that would be paradise!

A good thing she keeps the rhino away. Even if rhinos don’t like cheeseburgers, they can cause a lot of damage, even unintentionally. Nice that the union keeps her work restricted to one shift, too.

I didn’t know there was such a thing as the Predator and Prey Union — nice to learn the beasts get a decent rest after a hard day’s work! Are those live oak leaves decorating your yard, John? Hmm, did they fall early because of the drought, or is this their typical dropping-off time?

There are some of the same trees further down our fence. We have four beds that we water and the water has seeped down to the trees. They look beautiful as you can imagine. Our neighbor is an idiot

Well, thank goodness for the shift whistle. No telling what would happen if the rhino did breach the fence. This makes me realize how boring my cats are. Lizard sightings? Twiggy would laugh at the ridiculousness of if all.
