Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy in High Cotton

“So what’s going on here?”

“We are putting the legs back on the couches.”

“Okay. Why are you doing that?”

“You are well enough to use your stairs to get up on them.”

“That’s great. How about jumping off?”

“Oh no, no, no. No jumping off. Use the stairs.”

“You guys keep working. I need to do my Yogi. Downward facing dog.”

“Your form is excellent.”

“Upward facing dog.”

“Oh, come on. Not even close.”

“Yeah, you’re right. How’s this?”

“Much better.”

“I was so busy with Yogi I missed the entrance of the fuzzy white.”

“It looked like you were into it for sure.”

“What’s this white thing?”

“A device to keep you out of the dog house.”

“I get it. It protects the white fuzzy carpet. ”

“Right. Keeps us both out of trouble.”

“Sure feels good to be back to normal.”

“I see you have tried making a nest on both couches and made yourself comfortable.”

“Sure have. Wanna get that light?”

  1. Whether human or animal, getting old is no fun, John. Like you, we arrange the sofa (and house) for our dog and cat. On the not-so-good days, my dog considers me his hydraulic lift.

    1. We did that maybe four months ago with no announcement so you would have missed it. We could have kept them down low but for the fact that ole John was having difficulty getting up out of them. 😁 We have ordered more steps to prevent her from jumping up or down. Thanks, Linda.

  2. Does she use the stairs to get off? Eos has two sets on the one sofa; she slowly and with great effort uses them to get up. Descending? She always jumps past the steps and always lands awkwardly before limping away. I seem to recall Trevor was the same.

  3. “Normal” is a magical word, and Twiggy seems to have discovered that fact. I’m so happy for her – and of course mom and dad. 😊

  4. I see Twiggy is back to being the ruler of all her surroundings! Tell her Garfield does a downward facing cat most mornings. They should yoga together. Good to see her well again and not spoiled at all

  5. Miss Twiggy. You see how doing what you needed to do has worked in your favour? You are back to your perky self. Excellent form on the yoga, by the way. Have a great day, all of you!

  6. “You guys keep working. I need to do my Yogi. Downward facing dog.” So funny…and yes, her form is excellent.

You’re like the Paparattzi, or Puparatizi in this case getting these candid shots.

I’m just so happy she’s all well. All that love you and your Missus gave her…Love, clearly could change the world.

    1. Thank you, Susannah. I always keep the phone handy when we are doing things. You just never know. Twiggy has to be in the right mood though. The other day I pulled out the phone and she barked once and walked off.

  7. Wouldn’t you just like to get inside her brain and see what she’s thinking? Your imagination is always so good about this. Downward dog—well played, John. 🤣

  8. That Twiggy has become Everyone’s Dog, hasn’t she? I wish I’d gotten stairs like you have for my big Lab Casey. He used my upholstered Lane Cedar Chest instead. I didn’t notice the destruction from his claws until too late. Sigh.

  9. This is fabulous, Twiggy.
I’m so happy everything is back to normal, but no jumping off the couch!!!
Tell dad TY for the lovely comment on Charlotte’s blog. He might already know, because I answered it, but it’s okay to double up on TY’s.

    1. Dad saw your lovely comment on Charlotte’s post. I will try not to jump off the couch, Miss Resa. Of course, as you may have guessed Mom and Dad bought four new sets of stairs so it is almost impossible to jump off now. Thank you for the downward dog compliment. I do my Yogi every day.
