Thursday – A Little Personal – Arctic Weather

“Why do you keep looking at your watch?”

“It is getting late, and you need a walk.”

“What’s the temperature out there?”

“Right now, it is 21 F (-6 C ) degrees. Was 15 F (-9.4 C ) earlier.”

“Well, I guess we better get going.”

“Oh, my. Aren’t you the cutest?”

“Wow, this concrete feels like ice.”

“No wonder it is probably still at last night’s temperature.”

“I’ll tell you what. These walks are overrated.”

“Now come on. You know you need to have a nice quick walk.”

“Dad, sush. The puma sees a tasty-looking Springbok over there.”

“That’s a deer.”

“Step by step, the puma moves closer for the kill. Oops, the Springbok spots the danger.”

“Shoot. The Springbok got away. Time to head for home.”

“As for me, I’m glad.”

“Another puma goes to bed hungry tonight.”

“Who are you talking to. You never go to bed hungry.”

“The puma sees its den up ahead. Won’t be long until a cozy nap.”

“All I can say is better luck tomorrow.”

“Yeah, tomorrow is another day.”

  1. Oh my, what a cute outfit! Twiggy looks darling as she prances down the street, looking for prey. So much for camouflage. 😄

  2. That’s a darling outfit — but perhaps not needed today. Down here on the coast, the current temp is 53, with fog. It’s good hunting weather. On the other hand, at least with that bright sweater, you could spot Twiggy in the fog!

  3. I have to tell you John, I’m HOWLING over her outfit. It’s so her, the French fashionista that she is.

Did you hear that sigh? It’s Coco Chanel saying…elegance is refusal but admits, sometimes a girl just has to pull out the stops.

    1. Poor Coco turned over a couple of times I’m sure. Warmth was the deciding factor. The leopard would have been much more stylish but unfortunately not as warm. Glad you got a laugh today, Susannah.

  4. John,
I remember when we had sweaters and gear for our little dog. The outfit on Twiggy looks great. Didn’t know you were getting the same terrible lows as us here in Chicago. YUK !!!

  5. Aw, Twiggy looks so cute in her sweater with the pom-pom on the hood! But yes, that concrete is cold on tiny dog feet. I’m happy to hear she’s still playing Puma, even though the beast got away … this time. Another day (preferably a warmer one), and she’ll find another target!

  6. I was wondering how Twiggy was handling our arctic weather. Nothing stops the huntress! That is the cuties outfit ever and even covers her ears. She was owing the fashion runway!

  8. This pink pullover is impressive, dear John! It disguises Twiggy’s wildest intentions! 😁😁😁🍻🍤🍤🍤 I hope the arctic days will be over soon! It snows even here! At last! I’m so glad to have a bit of normal winter. 😁😁😁

  9. All in a day’s work for the mighty (hungry?) puma. And that getup is just the best! It doesn’t appear that Twig was all that upset about having to wear it either and can’t says I blame her!

  10. Sorry you didn’t grab the Springbok, Twiggy!
However, OMG!!! You are the cutest pup in the world in that gorgeous pink fair isle sweater.
The pom is to go nuts for.
    Love it! I’d wear it!

    1. You are so right about the sweater. As far as complaining about the weather it is in the shared DNA of all of us so you are free to do it no matter the condition. Feel free to ignore those who have worse weather than you. Having empathy under these conditions serves no purpose. 😁
