My favorite is the boot. I wouldn’t mind wearing a pair of those (leather, not ceramic).

Ha ha ha. I could see you going into the establishment coffee house with a pair of Tony Lama’s on.

I’d probably trip over my feet and break an ankle.

Yeah I don’t know what that guy has to do about Halloween but I enjoyed seeing him. 😁

Didn’t expect to see a fantasy dwarf there. Do people change their mailbox toppers a lot down there?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Not so much. New people move in and that brings a new topper.

The snail’s my favorite, perhaps because I’ve been a little snail-like recently!

Would make a good pet for sure. Thanks, Linda.

The boot is my first choice. Most others run close seconds… However, the snake bones? More my sister’s style!

That is a bit odd but I’ll put it down to Halloween.

And he’s from here in Michigan. For a while, II worked with a lady who had taught him at the Michigan School for the Blind in Lansing.

This dwarf kissed his garden dwarf cousins good-bye and never looked back. Look at that braided facial hair!

Yeah I know. So glad to know it’s a dwarf.

I think I did write about that guy many years ago. I also like the snake skeleton. That reminded me of another story of mine.

These are all creative. Are they reflective of the owners, you think? The last one does make a statement of some kind. He is a rather appealing and i like the angle of the shot – makes him look bigger and the composition is very good with the sky/trees and the red bricks. I’ll try the Gulf Boys & Country Girls.

Thank you, Jo. That was taken by The Producer and I passed on your words. She was very pleased you liked it.

I had to laugh at the armored guy guarding his mailbox, John. Maybe he’s there to keep away all the requests for donations?? And I love the lion, turtle, and Asian lantern, too — what an interesting Sunday tour!

Love the cowboy boot topper! Make you wonder if the rattlesnake skellie keep the junk mail from being delivered. 😉

Ha hah a. I like that idea. If it works I want one. Thanks, Monika.

That certainly was some interesting and creative mail boxes. I used to work for a company that did automatic mail sorting. We used image processing and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to find the address and make out the characters, and then match the address to an address data base. The post office was our biggest customer, so they have a special place in my heart. So post office stuff, including mail boxes excite me a bit. I still send postcards to people so that I can support the post office.

I’ll bet you are among the very few who holds a special place in their heart for the postal service. They sure could use those special places. Thanks, Thomas.

Love the boot, the gekko, the turtle, and the snail. I think you’re right about that last one. It does look like something Craig would cook up.
I enjoy Pad Thai, but I think I’ll give that Old Dirty Galbi a try.

Yeah it sounds pretty good (The Galbi not the hatchet guy.)

I’ve enjoyed the many toppers in your neighborhood before. I don’t think anyone in our town has anything like this.

This is the first town I have lived in that has them. So I think they are unique.

Those are terrific toppers, John.
Art on mail… love it
We have a mail slot. If I did put a topper out, it would be stolen in minutes.
When we moved here, we put planter boxes under the windows. The boxes were screwed to the cementsills.
One day there were no boxes, just screws…… still screwed.
Fab song!
Thank you John, and have a great week ahead!

Thank you, Resa. I hope you have a great week as well. It always amazes me how the crooked element of our society can’t stand beauty (Like flower boxes) You know they had no other motivation then to remove beauty
