Today, we are celebrating Halloween with the Witches Ride in Lakeway. This is an annual event, and we don’t want to miss it. Kids dress up and take a one-mile ride on anything that doesn’t have a motor. After the ride, there is a carnival for more fun. We will be eating carnival food, and our entertainment is Michael Jackson.

Now that cotton candy truck is interesting and a first for me. BBQ and kettle corn for me to munch as I listen to the band.

That sure looks like a fun celebration for your town, John, with lots of good food. The grocery store founded by Howard Edwar Butt has really been successful.

Fun looking event. Can’t recognize the movie, but not a horror fan.

What a fun event for the kids! Great thinking! However, after all that food, I’d be waddling home!

Yes a waddle is a good speed.

How could I possibly resist a title like Witches Ride? John, you’ve outdone yourself! This is the most fun I’ve had all week. (Okay, it’s Sunday, so I’ll say “IN” the past week. I love Resa’s Paranoid van. Everything was so cool, especially the cotton candy “truck.” Big hugs.

Thank you, Teagan. It was all so well done. The kids I saw were having so much fun.

I used to love handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters — even when I was young enough to go myself. The Ride is a great alternative.

It is a fun event for sure. There is still trick or treat but people love this event.

This looks like so much fun. I wish I could celebrate Halloween too.

You can. Get a piece of paper and some colored pencils. Now make a pumpkin face on the paper color it and write Happy Halloween. Fold it up and put it on your desk. On October 31st open the paper. There, you have celebrated.

I’ll definitely do that. 😊

That looks like a fun event. Lakeway seems like a great neighborhood. I am curious about the blurring of the many of the kids lower portion of the face. Is that done in the photo to protect their identity or was it something they had on their faces?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I blur them since they are below 18. You never know where kid photos show up and I certainly don’t want to be the cause of a kid’s embarrassment. Thanks for asking, Thomas.

I gotta say, your activity centre is a busy entity. I love that there is always something going on.
Halloween is so cool! Costumes and candy, what more could a kid want?
I had a cool thing going with Halloween candy. Much of it would last years. Sure, I ate some, but I’d work hard, gather lots and then I’d hoard.
The other 2 candy events were Christmas and Easter. All the kids would eat theirs within days, and other than candy canes, which no one liked, most Christmas and Easter candies didn’t last.
However, I always had a stash. I used it for “favours”. Ha!
OR trades. Ah, the good ol’ Halloween candy days!

HI John, this looks like a fun day. Did you blog out the children’s faces (looks like a face mask)? Is that for security reasons?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes. I try not to photograph kids but sometimes it is unavoidable. In those cases I blur their identity so that their image can’t be used in other ways.
