Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste on a Rainy Day

“Still raining, Twiggy.”

“Means I’m going to hunker down right here.”

“We have that tent out there, which means we won’t get wet.”

“But it is still chilly.”

“Yeah, that’s true. By the way, why does Dad have his underwear in a bunch?”

“Don’t worry. He’s just launching a new book is all.”

“Hasn’t he done that before?”

“Yeah, like eight times. But he gets into the same bunch with each one.”

“You would think he would get used to it.”

“I heard him telling Mom about the tour schedule, which will impact us.”

“What do you mean? Are we getting a vacation?”

“No, but Dad is switching us to Saturday. He will do posts during the week highlighting the tour hosts and always hates running two posts daily.”

“So he has no tour stops on the weekends?”

“That’s right. So we will be on Saturday the 8th instead of Thursday the 6th, and his regular Views of the Neighborhood will run Sundays.”

“How long will this go on?”

“The first stop is Saturday, February 1st. The last will be on the 26th. A total of fifteen stops.”

“You know. I think I’m going to join you. All that information made my head hurt.”

“This is much better than trying to battle the rain, don’t you think?”

“ZZZZZzaz”

  1. All the best on your launch, John. We’ll be cheering from the sidelines. I’m sure the pups will be doing the same. 😊

  2. Best wishes for a successful tour, John (and thank you to Twiggy and Tempeste for sharing the good news!). Monk and I agree: nothing much better on a cold, rainy day than a nice snooze on the sofa!

  3. Here’s hoping the new schedule works out well for your Dad, kiddos. You know he works very hard on his books. Here’s hoping the rain goes away (although I’m sure like us you can use the moisture).

    1. We sure like the rain even though we may complain. Of course it makes getting our business done a little more complex. Yes, we do need it here though so we are happy to have it. Thank you Elsa and Wilson.

  4. I hope things go well on your book tour, John. I’m looking forward to reading your new book.

The only ones you need to satisfy are those top literary critics, Tempeste and Twiggy.

  5. Definitely the steps for them are great. It looks like a bit like in a gym. Haven’t you considered yet to stream their live like from a Big Brother container? I am shure in Japan they would become better known like the Tamagotchis. 😉 Best wishes, also for the weekend, John! xx Michael

  6. Oh wow!

Tell dad I wish him a fun time on the book tour trail. I’ll be by and check out some of the stops, as time allows.

Have you read dad’s book? It’s excellent, and you should be proud of him!
