“Yes, mom. Twiggy and I are here playing.”
“Go on out there. She is looking for us.”

“Okay, Mom. I’ll tell her.”
“Tell me what?”

“Mom says not to rub the chairs and to play nice.”
“The only reason the chairs are facing out is so you won’t jump on the table.”

“Do you know how much fun it is to land in the center?”
“The last time you had that bowl of roses all over the place.”

“I’m going to shake some sense into Crabbie.”
“That crab has no sense, so good luck.”

“You want to trade toys?”
“Mmm. I’m happy with this one.”

“What, Mom? Yes, we are playing together.”
“That’s pretty funny. We aren’t even close to playing together.”

“Well, we could if you would share that doll.”
“I’m almost finished with it.”

“So I can play with it?”
“Yeah, of course.”

“Wow. It looks pretty wet.”
“You know how it is with toys and mouths.”

“Okay. What did you have for breakfast? Whale?”
“You saying it’s funky?”

“It smells days old. Where are you going?”
“Out to get Crabbie.”

“That will be a no. I just can’t let you do that.”
“Alright, I’ll leave Crabbie alone if you stop tickling me.”
“Say, Uncle.”
“No way.”

What a wonderful couple of friends. I am only wondering why they are not scratching on the chairs. Our cat had made them shabby chic. Congrats to this wonderful designed living room, and enjoy a nice weekend, John! xx Michael

You are very brave to have white furniture. We are sticking with shades of grey and taupe here. (I never thought I would pick furnishings to match my dogs!) They are so cute when they play together.

Don’t feel badly about the furniture. Our whole house is set up to be dog friendly. Humans are optional here. Thanks, Darlene. 😁

We didn’t allow them to do that as puppies. Tempest would still like to take a bite but we keep her under watch at all times. 👀

I love seeing the girls get their chance to shine, John. Seems like you must have a healthy toys budget. That’s a good thing.
You should have seen the expression on the saleswoman at the furniture store when we turned away from a couch because our dog wouldn’t like the shape of the armrest.

That chair-turning is a great idea. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t have helped a friend whose dog made for the center of the dining table on Christmas day and gobbled down a wedge of gouda. Triple the size of the girls, that one didn’t need no stinkin’ chair!

Your kids are adorable, John. Whether it is dogs or cats, they can be so similar in how they interact, play, play fight, etc. Always a joy to have around, but I wish I could find a way to keep Hoshi off the counters like you found a way to keep a certain pooch off the table.
PS: I was ready to read about coffee and history and Voodoo Ranger this morning. Taking a break? Did the coyote and roadrunner show up and spoil your writing plans?

The problem with cats is it doesn’t matter which way I face the chairs–they make it from floor to table in a single bound. Much to my husband’s horror.
I am always amazed at how perfect your house is for having two dogs. The cat hair is never-ending at my place. And we won’t even talk about hair balls…😹

“Don’t rub the chairs.” Yeah, good luck with that one. I’ve tried to teach the Monk that, but he just can’t seem to resist leaving his oils on the white chairs. Maybe slipcovers would work??
LikeLiked by 2 people
They don’t rub them unless they have a sweater on that they are trying to rub off. 😁
LikeLiked by 1 person
Monk doesn’t exactly “rub” them, but he definitely leaves dark and oily stains behind from where he glides (or zooms!) along them. And the walls. Formula 409 does a great job removing them though.

Hello girls!
Nice to see you playing, and not with a bowl of roses.
Anyway, do dad a favour for me and tell him I’m dizzy from his tour (well more likely the blizzard &/or heavy snow fall we’ve been having for 3 days)and have now read and comment twice on Denise’s blog.
I feel like an idiot. So, things are pretty normal here!

I think I mentioned I liked and commented twice on Denise’s blog. Once as Graffiti Resa, and once as Art Gowns Resa. (I’m 2 people…sigh)
Anyway, I don’t see my comment. Comments can be weird on her blog and not appear for a bit.
If it doesn’t appear in a day or 2, would you be kind enough to ask her to see if I’m in her Spam?

Ah… thank you! Yes, her comments are quite … customized.
Apologies for being a nervous Nellie, but I had a nasty Spam experience about 5 years ago.
It took WP & Akismet months to clear up my commenting agony.
I was told by WP – comments that go into Spam create issues if left in Spam. They said if I think my comment went into Spam to contact the person whose Spam it went into.
I’m like a dog with a bone on that now.
I won’t comment on any blog, if there is no way to contact the owner of the blog, either through a contact form, email or other bloggers.
I check my Spam folder every day. It’s crazy who I find in there, time to time.
