Today we are visiting the Activity Center where sign-ups are taking place for summer camps. The idea is to give the children an idea of the camp activity and the opportunity to sign up. We are catered by Nervous Charlie’s Bagels of Austin. Our entertainment is Allan Sherman.

We have seen the camp sign-up so now lets enjoy the food and music.

What a great selection of activities for the children of Lakeway to choose from! And great they are all in one place to learn about.
I’ll have the bagel because I could eat smoke salmon every day. Our trip to Scotland was smoked salmon nirvana – I did have it every day!

I can imagine how good the salmon was, Noelle

It was fantastic! You going to any of those camps? Do they have camps for dogs and their owners?

What a great selection of activities for the kids. Something for everyone. Every summer I searched for activities for my daughter when she was young: pottery camp, art camp, theatre camp and even clown camp! That Allan Sherman song is so funny.

We did the same for our youngest. I took a year off in the first grade and was a house dad. Summer camps were the greatest.

Looks like a lot of great choices for kids to do. Nice to see they’ll be kept active during the summer instead of being indoor lumps.

It is a good thing that way. Thanks, Charles,

Way more exciting than any summer camp I ever attended… that being said, since I didn’t know camps such as this were possible, we had a blast back then!

We did. I loved camp. Went to Charles Howell Scout Reservation. in Brighton, MI

Makes me want to be a kid, again, instead of acting like one (according to my wife). Wow, give me one hot pastrami (I came alone so I could act like a kid). Didn’t we all love that song back in the day?

I think we all laughed at that song for sure. Thanks, Steve. You want a VooDoo Ranger to go with the pastrami?

Dang, John, I wish I were a kid again. Great song choice. Despite my desire to have the ultimate Italian breakfast, I’m going to go with two fried eggs and I’ll go with bacon and American cheese.

Great as always, John! At first i wish to apologize for a longe delay. I had a longer visit from the new Covid stem, and it was … ;-( Don’t ask me! Hey, the idea with the camps for children has now arrived in the farest edge of the world (here! :-)) too. It’s a very great idea to learn by having fun. I hope you are enjoying a nice weekend! Also celebrate the rest! Best wishes, Michael

I did fencing in college. It is really a fun sport, and the dancer in you would like the moves.

The photo of the pony rides takes me back to when I was a kid — it was one of my favorite things to do. Despite being tethered and unable to run like the wind, my inner cowgirl really had a blast imagining that things were different. Lakeway offers so much variety for the kids at summertime — good for everyone!

This is the place to be if you are a kid. Back 30 years ago, daughter got on a pony at the farmer’s market. From there it was lessons and then competition jumping. She was on the BIG Twelve Champion equestrian team at Baylor.

I’ve been partial to lox since I accompanied my best friend to Saturday morning services at his synagogue. I did so for the softball games afterward but I can’t lie, the bagels and lox won me over too. As for this event, me goodness they have one heckuva variety of camps going on!

How fun! Texas kids are lucky to visit HEB stores. I LOVE that place-you can buy just about anything while grocery shopping in a beautiful setting. I was blown away at the one my daughter shops at and didn’t want to go home. LOL
