Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy, Tempeste, and Temptation

“What’s going on, Tempeste?”

“MMMifftt.”

“Are you eating leaves over there?”

“Not leaves. Just one leaf.”

“You know what Mom and Dad said about that.”

“Yeah, but they don’t know how tasty they are.”

“Don’t come crying to me when you get a tummy ache.”

“Haven’t had one yet.”

“Yeah, but there is always the first time.”

“I think I’ll take my chances.”

“Where did you find that leaf. Dad keeps this place picked up.”

“You know, it just floated down like manna from heaven. It was like it was meant for me.”

I think the whole thing is disgusting.”

“Want to try one?”

“For heaven’s sake, no. You should spit it out, too.”

“Well, a little late for that.”

“Eww, you ate it?”

“It just sorta melted in my mouth.”

I prefer the real food myself.”

“Speaking of that. I think I hear the call of the dinner dish.”

“At least your ears are normal.”

“Oh, by the way. You won’t tell Mom about the leaf, will you?

“And break her heart. Not on your life.”

“You are the greatest.”

Note: No actual leaves were eaten in this dramatization.

LOL! I could see her eating that leaf! Great writing that drama John. I’m so glad there won’t be a tummy ache later and Mom won’t have anything to worry or be cross about this time. 😊

Ah Tempeste, you are naughtly like my Push-Push. She, being a cat, jumps up the security gate and waits to be let in on the middle rung. Sometimes she falls when she tries to turnaround and falls between the security gate and the door, trapping herself. She is also a repeat offender.

A dramatization? Well, you had me going. But, is it based on real life? Is Tempeste a leaf eater?

Cute story, John. I wonder if Tempeste wants your attention. My neighbor’s dog munches on rocks, gets his parents upset, and then they take him on a walk. Pretty clever.

It’s pretty clever of your neighbor’s dog. Tempeste has our attention 110% of the time, so I’m not sure that’s it.

I think Tempeste and the Monk would get along great! Of course, Monk doesn’t eat leaves — but if I was holding one and dropped it, it would be fair game. Let’s hope Tempeste doesn’t get a stomach ache from it — vet visits are super-costly during after-hours!

Wilson knows all about eating leaves. He’s been repeatedly told not to and yet… Argh. Be careful little one…you may encounter a bad batch and end up with a right un-jolly belly ache. And Pepto for dogs is gross. Just ask the House pony-he knows from first hand experience.
