Jump on the bus.

Here you go. A bookcase and a couch. Notice the UT stickers on the bookcase.

A patio dining set.

The run-away-from-home ensemble.

Kitty needed a new set.

A sectional couch. No charge for the rain cleaning.

Two-piece comfy couch.

Leaf pick-up special. Bin not included.

Two high-quality Hermes leather-like chairs.

A Dyson vac that lost it’s will to suck.

Hey trampoline man.

Last but not least is an over-the-hill table and a one-wheeled bike. (No, not a unicycle.)
Time for food and music. I hope you have a great week.

I like the sound of the oatmeal. So much furniture, our dustmen here in UK would have a fit!

Whenever they say, “Steel-cut Oats,” it sounds good. I can’t imagine what other kind of metal is used to cut up the oats, though. I’m wondering how Thursday went.

I have posted the grisly details this morning. It was terrifying when they went all around the word ‘paralysed’…

Yikes. Gotta go read it.

Dear John
When we were students, we got all our furniture from those people who put them out for the dustbin men.

One ‘Austin American’ breakfast. Eggs, scrambled and toast dark. Hold the bacon, sausage or ham. Cancel that, just give me the oatmeal. Lots of decent ‘junk’. I could use that leaf collector. Probably gone, already.

There is a lot of junk from which to choose. Want a Voo Doo Ranger with that oatmeal?

Her, VooDoo with breakfast? Normally I wouldn’t..aw, to hell with ‘normally’, set ‘em up.

Guessing all of the big things are special pick up. We can only put stuff like that out if we call the town for removal.
LikeLiked by 2 people
We have pick up anything service. The only time you have to call is if it is a refrigerator, washer, or dryer.

I love dumpster diving!!! So, I will take the bookcase, the wee piece of luggage and that colorful min-trampoline. (whew, now I am all worn out from shopping)

I’m enjoying the Austin American Breakfast, but finding it hard not to choke with giggles over this post, John. Mercy! Was this some sort of throw-it-all-out day?? Around here, the trash folks won’t pick up furniture, yard equipment, etc. You have to make special provisions (and pay extra) for them to take it. Of course, you could put a “Free” sign out and hope somebody else will haul it off … but from the looks of the stuff you found, that’s highly unlikely. Unless somebody isn’t too picky!

This was a normal day. Our service takes just about anything. You have to call ahead for refrigerators, washers, and dryers.

That was a very strange “song.”

I know, right? When Spanky and Our Gang first got going, we saw them in person at a small venue in Columbus, Ohio. They did this song, and I thought it was a hoot. The next week, they were on the Tonight Show.

I remember their actual songs. So you saw them right before they hit it big!

Very interesting trash pickings. In Madison we have a day called “Hippie Christmas” on August 15 when all the leases are up for students. A mountain of items appear on the curb. Many good items, free of charge.

Sounds like fun.

I mean, it’s better than being added to a landfill if someone else can make use of it, but I still can’t get used to seeing furniture outside.

The community needs to send a message to the nearest frat house! Instant removal!
I think I would like the Croque Madame but they need to offer a Croque Monsieur for Hubs.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Croque Monsieur is the same as Croque Madame except it is served in a bucket with a beer on the side.

I aways thought that a Croque Monsieur was jusr the hot ham and cheese sandwich while the Croque Madam had the addition of a poached egg on top. Obviously the Monsieur needs beer!

I just made up the part about the bucket.

Yes, bin dipping and dumpster diving are off my radar…as is attempting to pet raccoons, skunks, coyotes or those cute little (or big) alley rats.

Slim pickins after the bookcase, John (and that would have to have the stickers removed). I’ll go with Two Eggs (oer medium), Bacon, Country Potatoes, Multigrain (sigh) Toast.

Some of that is still useful. Once we put out useful things too, and a family stopped by and loaded up some of our garbage. We were happy. It is much better that it is reused than thrown out.
