Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste on the Hunt

“Hey, Tempeste. What cha finding over there?”

“It’s nothing, Believe me.”

“If it’s nothing why are you spending good nose time here?”

“It just seemed like it would be something.”

“I have to see for myself.”

“Be my guest. See nothing.”

“Yeah, you are right. You would think there would be a crumb of something around here.”

“This trash bin could offer a snack.”

“You go ahead and case out the bin. My poverty stricken mind is now on toys.”

“I can’t see anything. No smells either.”

“Face it. These two don’t drop anything of interest.”

“Gosh you would think even a drop of milk or something.”

”

“Sadly our rents haven’t reached the clumsy age yet. No kids here either.”

“Yeah we need a kid to drop a pepperoni or better yet, a peanut butter toast, peanut butter side down.”

Hey Twiggy. What are you and Tempeste doing?”

“You won’t believe it.”

“Try me.”

“We are praying that you or Mom let some food fly sometime.”

“Well you know your Mom.”

“I sure do. We might as well pray for a gopher in the house.”

  1. haha, the girls are still at it! Missed seeing your posts, but I can understand you needing a break.
I already read your book, John. I know people will be pleasantly thrilled with it! I know I sure was.

  2. Your beautiful home is always spotless, but hope springs eternal with the pups. They’d make great detectives. Welcome back, John. I hope you had a wonderful break from blogland. 😊

  3. That’s terrible you never drop any niblets for them, lol. Even if we do, Bond has no interest in people food. Except for cheese – then we have to fight him off with certain types.

  4. The girls look so nice that it’s good to see them, John. They hope you’d spill something and would clean it up. I remember the days before we had a dishwasher, letting my daughter and son-in-law’s dog clean the plates before I did the dishes. He did a real nice job. It made doing the dishes easier, though it took real hot water to cut his saliva.

  5. I am picturing what these two would think when I come in from the garage after mowing the yard…and I’m dropping grass all over the kitchen floor. They would probably do their due diligence on it all, but most likely be intrigued more by the bagel pieces which often find their way to the same surface.🥯

  6. They won’t have any luck in your pristine house! But I can see they live in hope. I have to say if I accidently drop something it never hits the floor. My two are right on it. (unless it’s broccoli of course. They hate broccoli)

  7. A gopher in the house? That would be fabulous. So what would you two do with a gopher? Maybe if you can’t get a gopher, you can get a hamster?

    Hi to dad!

  8. I do admit there were times when I appreciated having a dog – they are right quick to pick up anything you might have dropped. Of course, I suspect you and the Producer are too quick for these two 😉

  9. “…peanut butter side down.” 😀 Oh my… they’re so cute, so focused on their “quest”. “We are praying that you or Mom let some food fly sometime.” 😂

Thank you for such a cute Twiggy and Tempeste moment! 🙂

  10. Welcome back, John — you were missed. The Monk empathizes with your two girls in enduring a spotless house. Not that my kitchen approaches the beautiful room you’ve shown us, but that I, too, have to be mighty careful not to drop stuff. With Monk’s tummy troubles, he sure doesn’t need anything else down there!

  11. Haha! A few days back at a friend’s house some milk got dropped on the kitchen floor (we still don’t know who by). By the time mom and dad had finished debating whose fault it was, their pet had cleaned out the lot and left the floor shining, with a slightly guilty look on its face, and probably trying to stifle a loud burp.
