Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste at Play

“What game do you want to play, Tempeste?”

“I was thinking of maybe fetch.”

“Um. There is a problem with that.”

“What is that?”

“We have no thumbs to be able to hold and throw the ball.”

“What about Dad?”

“He’s in the office working on something.”

“Well, there’s Mom.”

“She is busy as well.”

“Well then, Twiggy. How are we going to play ball?”

“I guess ball is out. How about tuggy?”

“With that miserable little toy?”

“Better than nothing.”

“One more look tells me this thing is totally inadequate for two Frenchies to play tuggy.”

“So where’s that leave us?”

“It leaves us standing around until dinner.”

“Speaking of which. I hear the call of the kibble. You coming?”

“There is a stray leaf back here. Maybe it will be tasty.”

“More than the delicious stew and kibble.”

“On second thought. Hold up.”

There’s never the right toy or ball thrower around when you need them. 🐶🐶

I think “the call of the kibble” would make a perfect title for a fun post or even a poem, dog or cat art anyway… so cute! 😀 Now thinking of the leaf allure too… although I forget which one of them has that stray leaf eating fixation, whether Twiggy or Tempeste 😊

I didn’t expect to be thinking about Jack London this morning, but “The Call of the Kibble” did it. Twiggy and Tempeste don’t have the challenge of the Klondike, but they do have challenges!

Stew and Kibble > Leaf. That being said, we have WAY more leaves around here right now than stew and/or kibble. Perhaps we need to take corrective action…
