Yes, the doe would make short work of them, so they are not allowed. Thank you, Sue.

Bougainvillea must be tougher than I realized. There are some gorgeous ones blooming here, too. We’re finally near freezing this morning; it will be interesting to see how they fare. That iridescent buck and real doe make for quite a pair; I loved that photo.

I thought the buck and doe made a fine pair, too. We covered our bougainvillea to see if it will last longer. We are expecting more warm weather.

Lovely photos, John & Producer. The doe is so cute lying there. The sunrise shot is my favorite. IT perfectly captures that color that lasts for about 30 seconds most of the time. I also like the moon shots.
Buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy and fried eggs? Music to my ears. It’s gonna be hard to have toast, apple and yogurt 😦
I hope you have a great week.

Thank you, Dan. Toast, Apple, and yogurt are one of those “good for you” things that are necessary.

I know, John. But biscuits and gravy…I know my Doctor would cringe, but seriously, I’d go for it.

Wonderful views, John! And the cherry on top was Sweet Caroline. Still a favorite of mine, as it brings up memories of a particularly wonderful time of my life!

That is one fabulous sunrise photo! The Producer certainly got some great shots, as did you. I’ve seen Neil Diamond perform, he’s awesome. He was a lot younger then though.

What a great collection of photos, especially the flowers – and the doe and the buck! We don’t have any flowers here except my lemon tree in my office is blooming and blooming. As soon as it’s warm enough I’ll put it outside again.
Huevos rancheros today!

We had to cover everything last night. The temps went to 25 degrees. The forecast is for milder temperatures for the next two weeks, so hopefully it was worth it. I love huevos rancheros.

We’ve had temps below freezing at night for quite a while now – brought the lemon tree in then. But we have some of our bulbs starting to come up!

Those pesky bulbs do that. I used to see them push through the snow in the Midwest.

Thank goodness for your wonderful pictures, John — because I think I lost my mind when I read the words “buttermilk biscuits and gravy.” Sigh… it’s been far too long… 😀 Anyhow this is a lovely tour. How fun to see the doe beside the crystal-looking buck. Also, thanks for the fun post Thursday with the girls. I hope you and Barbara had a splendid visit. Big hugs.

Welcome back, John — you were missed. Flowers!! How I love seeing them, especially since it’s so bitter cold here. I got a kick out of the parrot mailbox topper (so colorful) and the rainbow-hued buck. I know, glittery things catch my eye!

Thank you, Debbie. Good to be back. That buck changes color with the sun’s movement. We covered everything last night since it was 25 degrees overnight.
