As you can see, I’ve made a scheduling error. Rather than pull the post, I’ll let it run for the two days. Sorry for any confusion.

“What’s it look like out there?”
“Sunny but cool.”

“See any deer?”
“No, they have all moved off to another place.”

They’ll be back. Then the bark-a -thon can begin.
“I’m saving my barks for the FedEx guy.”

“You might have something there. He and the Amazon drivers are due any time.”
“That’s what I was thinking. You know who we haven’t seen for a while?”

“The UPS guy. He hasn’t been around for a few days.”
“I wonder if he is okay? Maybe we did bark him to St Louis.”

Oh, I don’t think so. He has to be stronger than that.”
“You see what’s coming?”

“Oh my gosh. It’s the US postal service driver.”
“I’ve got to get a good spot by the door. This is going to be good.”

“I don’t think she is coming to the door. Looks like a normal mailbox delivery.”
“Well, I’m not taking any chances.”

“Tempeste, come back. She has already passed.”
“I can almost smell the Amazon truck. I’m staying here by the door.”
“You might have a long wait.”
“Yeah, but it will be worth it.

Hahahaha! cute post! Brilliantly original idea! No prompts needed. I like that!♥

Thank you, Gwen. Had to figure out the depth of field so the background wasn’t too blurry. So nice of you to notice. 😁 (not just a pretty face here)

It’s so nice to see the girls, John. That they bark at delivery drivers is not surprising. The dogs in our neighborhood bark to me or at me all the time. Some are barking hello and asking for a treat.

Those are fun barks when they ask for a treat.

They have a perfect lookout spot! No delivery person is safe from those two. (or my two!)

LOL! They are the cutest sentries. That looks like a great spot to keep an eye on things. I like the trunk too!

Thank you, Deborah. That trunk was my grandfather’s. He was a surgeon in World War I, and that trunk held all his instruments in transit to Europe and on the battlefields.

Of course, I checked my calendar to see what day it was! 😹 And I kept looking out the window for the UPS/FedEx/Mail delivery person. This was the cutest way to tell a story.

Are the girls normally a Thursday feature, or am I mistaking the days? Either way, nice to visit their world.

Yeah, sorry about that, Liz. Wrote the post on Tuesday instead of Wednesday and put the wrong publish date on the schedule.

Young ladies, you would LOVE it here… Amazon has left tire treads enroute to me! But that is nothing compared to the barking lot you two have created! xx

Very cool setup for the dogs. I remember you have the steps for them on the couch also. Did they take to the steps right away? We don’t have dogs at the moment, but our labs used to climb into the UPS truck with the driver. Then he would wing a couple of dog biscuits out of the truck and speed away.😊

They did take to the steps. They also have a ramp, which they love.

You’re making me think it’s Thursday! That photo of the girls sitting side by side in the window you should frame. It is precious! But I’m glad you weren’t subjected to a bark-a-thon. Otherwise you’d have to toss a bacon tasting bone into the padded room and slam the door! 🙂

They do. Whenever they get underfoot, I whisper, “Who’s there?”Off they go to the window.
