“What’s your favorite part of playing with snowmen, Twiggy?”
“I like pulling his arms. A nice twisted cord with a knot at the end.”

“I like making him squeak till everyone in the house wonders what’s going on.”
“That’s okay till you get to the stuffing and the squeaker is out.”

“Oh yeah. Then all heck breaks loose.”
“Well, you have to admit, Mom is trying to keep you out of the vet’s office.

“Lucky for us, we haven’t had to go. But it’s not from a lack of trying.”
“Watch those feet, will ya. I don’t know why you try so hard to rip toys apart.”

“I wish I could tell you. Maybe it’s the panther in me.”
“You sure give us all moments of concern.”

“Big stretch. What moments?”
“Well, like when a toy is ripped, and a big chunk is missing.”

” Feels good to stretch. We have had a few of those moments. Lucky for me, nothing came of it.”
“You can say that again. Good thing you have the stomach of a hippopotamus.”

“Oh, good shake. Well, now that I’m older, I don’t do that as much.”
“Except when you hit the leaves.”

“Okay, all this talk about eating things has me tired out.”
“I think I’ll join you.”

I love watching dogs enjoying themselves…

These two capture the idiom, “the life of Riley”… and entertain us all. Thank you, John, for the morning chuckles. 😊

Life is good for these two! And why they feel the need to rip toys apart is beyond me. My friend has an Australian Shepherd and needless to say, I call him Destructo! I did tell her she might want to start buying things that take more effort 😉
Happy Thursday, John!

We have found that Kong toys last the longest. We know from Twiggy’s youth that they tend to outgrow the tear ’em up phase to a more normal activity. Thanks, Dale 😀

That they do and you are right. They need to destroy (thankfully, for most, this stages does not last forever!) 🙂

Those look like great toys! Our dogs stopped playing with toys. First they stopped pulling them apart and then they stopped playing with them. They show no interest at all in new toys so we quit buying them. Now my new pillows for the couch, that’s a different story. Those are fun to play with! Go figure!!

Tempeste loves to run under the pillows like she is a giant worm from Dune. Of course, that throws them on the floor along with the protective cover. 😀

Looks like the girls are having a great time. Bond wasn’t interested in playing much yesterday, but he had some fun watching videos for cats (fish, birds, and squirrels) on YouTube.

Ah, a little gnawing at the toy to get to the squeaker followed by a big stretch and a nap. Life is good for those two. 😄

Ha! The weather has been so nuts this year that when I saw the word snowman in the title I was ready to believe it — then I saw “toy.” 🙀
Twiggy’s sides eye glance at “Watch those feet” is fabulous. Thanks for the fun playtime John. Hugs.

The pictures this week are unrivaled. Tempeste’s half down-dog. Can see her in the front row of a yoga class. You must have a ball writing these. 🙂

I wish Saangchai would play with toys instead of digging holes in my lawn…maybe if I read him this story he will decide toys are the way forward…Maybe its because he is not a Frenchie.xx

All that stretching Tempeste was doing….gosh, that felt good! Twiggy is hilarious. Very subtle moves except the ‘watch those feet’–eyes are definitely closed. They are so much fun to watch.

One of Casey’s greatest joys was getting to the squeaker. Every stuffed toy had a lifespan of five seconds to five minutes, culminating with a detritus of stuffing and me rushing to make sure he didn’t choke on his trophy.
Nice to see the girls enjoying their toys. And their naps. When they wake, give them belly rubs from me.
Thanks for the smiles (and some fond memories), John.
