“Tempeste, where are you going?”
“Don’t you hear that barking?”

“That dog barks every day. What’s the big deal?”
“It just sounded a little different to me.”

“Listen carefully. Tell me it’s different.”
“Okay. You are right. That is the same dog.”

“So let’s get on with the day,”
“Yeah, good idea. That stupid dog has shut up anyway.”

“What would you like to do today?”
“Oh, I don’t know. We could look for leaves.”

“Now that is a one-way trip to predition.”
“But look. Here is a nice greenie.”

“Oh, man. You are going to get in so much trouble.”
“Mom is out, so it’s okay.”

“But she reads this post, and she will know.”
“OMG. I never thought of that.”

“What are you doing now?”
“I’m trying to deflect the leaf mishap. I’m over here being a good watchdog.”

“I think you are already busted, so you might as well get back to normal.”
“You are right. Time to take a nutty.”

“Once you are finished, do you want to play ball?”
“Oooh. That will be fun. Do you have a ball?”
“We’ll have to ask Mom.” She’ll be back shortly.”
“Great. I’ll still have time to work off some steam.”

The hunt for forbidden tasties continues. Did Twiggy ever have a habit like this?

Twiggy did not. She loved sticks, but that was about it.

Mine has had steam to spare this week. Maybe it’s the time of year. A major portion of my day is dedicated to playing with her and her demands.

It’s nice to see the girls, John, and I’m glad you share them. It’s no surprise that the neighbor dog’s barking grabs their attention. I wonder if that’s the intention of the barking.

Who knows the intention? The stupid dog just barks. I suspect it wants company, but who knows. Thanks, Tim.

I love the way Tempeste ‘points’ at what she hears! What’s take a nutty? Never heard that one before.
As usual, my weekly infusion of the girls’ interactions leave me with a big smile.
Belly rubs to both of them.

Thank you, Noelle. A nutty is where, for no reason, Tempeste starts tearing around the yard in pursuit of nothing. 😀

Our cats occasionally do that. We call it gapping. It has to do with the fact we figure they have only 2 neurons in their heads and when they disconnect from each other, the cats gap!

They are hilarious together. I wonder about that mysterious barking dog. I guess it is a neighbor.
LikeLiked by 1 person
It is a neighbor, and it has been about a month, so I think they got a new dog. He’s out most of the day barking. City ordinances require quiet after 7:00 PM. He doesn’t bark at night, so at least there is that.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes that is a little bit much. If he is out most of the day I am wondering if they might leave him outside and he can get overheated.
LikeLiked by 1 person
That could well be. I’m going to pay them a visit if I hear the dog at 90 degrees. So far not.

Yes that would be a very nice thing of you to do. Not an easy thing though. I hope the neighbors are nice enough.

The jig is up, Wilson. Mom caught the post, and now I’m grounded. Twiggy is grounded as well for not keeping me away from that leaf. Dad is grounded for taking photos and not taking the leaf away. It is mighty crowded here in the dog house. Thanks. Your friend – Tempeste

Best to wait ’til mom gets home, and you can play ball.
Twiggy, keep up the good work policing Tempeste’s fast food habit.
