Today we are visiting Lakeway and seeing what we can see. We are catered by Serenade American Brasserie restaurant, and our entertainment is James Taylor. The producer took all the photos except a few. Hers are the most beautiful
Menu

Let’s go

Our first sight is a mailbox topper. Say howdy, Dog.

Texas Longhorn fan.

A Chinese warrior.

A magnolia bloom on my 80th birthday tree.

A mushroom with a screwdriver companion.

A ceramic elephant.

Mama deer with two fawns.

Passed out, skelly.

Rainbow over our garage.

These photos were taken by me. Lizzie on a pole.

T. rex guarding the mail.

Tempeste with a hot dog.

Twiggy is enjoying avocado toast.

The purple sage in bloom forecasts rain, and the wildflowers are blooming.
That is the tour, and it is time for some food and music. I hope you have an enjoyable week.

I love all the photos. Thanks for James Taylor, one of my favourites.

That’s for sure. It is up all year round. (Unless it has been drinking heavily)

Which is weird since it lacks a stomach or liver. Where would the alcohol go?

You have a practical view, but consider this: A couple of shots in some bone broth. 😀

Your bride takes great pictures. You’re okay too 😀. People are very creative in Lakeway
I think I’ll have the Halibut just for the “halibut”.
Have a good day !

You have the most entertaining neighborhood, John. I love the mailbox toppers and, of course, the two girls with their toys. Tempest is so photogenic!
I love James Taylor. The building I worked in at UNC is named for his father, who was dean of the med school at one point and I saw James at the dedication ceremony years ago. James grew up not far from where we first lived in Chapel Hill.
I would love some conchigile. yum, Haven’t had any in years!

Great photos, and great music, John. I’m OK with the lounging skeleton, but that eyeball is a bit creepy.
I’ll go with the pork chop.

Does the neighborhood have plans for the 250th celebration?

I’m not sure. I expect so. We have a Fourth of July parade every year, so I expect it will be part of that

It’s the tree I received to mark my 80th birthday. That was five years ago. I’m now 85. 😀

Are the mailbox toppers more of a Lakeway thing, or is that fairly common in Texas? I don’t ever remember seeing anything like this in California.

And as for the walk, I loves me the Texas Longhorn and Chinese warrior most of all. But really, they are all fun.

I love this! It reminds me of the main street in Bennington, VT that has a painted moose every block. I’m partial to the rainbow and dinosaur, and of course the girls. BTW, when we moved to Groton in the 80’s, James Taylor would randomly show up at an old restaurant to sing. Very cool.
