John, if anyone else had told me where we were going, I wouldn’t have expected much, but this really was a fun tour. I’m fascinated by the mushroom blocks. The menu sounds so refreshing for the weather. Happy solstice and big hugs. 🤗

Thank you, Teagan. Happy solstice to you. Hugs back. I thought a lighter menu would be better for the heat. Hoping your week is a good one. 😊 🤗

Cool. Hope the program continues to be successful and the bees in your area get stronger. Noticing fewer bees around here, which is worrisome.

Jimmie Rogers sure took me back. He looks so young and so cute. A simpler time. Sigh.

This is such a nice event for the honeybees, John. Jimmie Rogers’ song stirs my memories. Have a great Father’s Day.

Nice article. I recently saw two, hour long shows on TV called The Life of Bees. It was amazing. I remember as a kid watching bees go flower to flower even clover.

Sadly I don’t see that anymore even though we have plenty of flowers. We do have Hummingbirds and they are fun to watch.

Your Chicago mayor killed off all the bees because they actually worked for a living.

OUAT the Nevada home was out in the high desert. Gardens struggled. I got two beehives and everyone’s gardens improved all around the area. I used to have the whole beekeeper kit.

This looks like a great event, John. I would have enjoyed attending.

I can’t possibly pass up Hushpuppies. There isn’t anyone anywhere near us that makes decent ones.

Now you know (nearly) everything about bees, dear John. Just on the other side of our lane are the allotments where some people keep bees too. So we have no problems with pollination in our garden. You are lucky to have this project at yours too.

    Have a happy week

My sister in law was a beekeeper (apiarist) in central CA until recently, and I know one here in Iowa (who has gifted me some of her golden nectar). We used to have a house for brown bats that looked like the slits in the butterfly house.

I had purple martin houses when I lived in Indiana, but I never had one for bats.

This looks interesting. I develop blood poisoning from bee stings so I can’t encourage them too much. They are fine in the garden but no nests.

Very nice scenic tour today with the mother nature vibe…nice and relaxed. Now, one of the menu items items is a different story. I would definitely Choka on that SAC dish…anyone, know the Heimlich maneuver🐳

    Love bees, John.

Thank you for another fine day in Lakeway! More people need to bee educated about this wonderful insect.

And I would LOVE some plantain chips!
