Views of the Neighborhood – 4th of July Decorations

Picture of an old time school bus
Everybody board the bus.
Here is a double-duty decoration.
Little flags around the flower bed.
Full house display.
Flags in the rocks.
Bunting on a fence.
Flags in the beds.
More bunting and a flag.
Some bunting and little flags
Very curious. Small flags with individually solar-powered lights.
A pretty crape myrtle and tidy bow.
Well, that about does it. Time for food and music. I hope you have a great week and happy 4th.

I love bunting myself! Every summer, I put some up on the real fence surrounding my porch for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and an earlier in the year MLB‘s opening day as well

Yum! That is a tasty menu, John. I must be missing Italian food. June is already practically gone — maybe the cooler temperatures of fall will be here soon. Yeah, I know… But it’s a nice thought. The neighborhood looks festive. 🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day (almost). Big hugs.

We have a couple of months into the 100’s, so it’s just starting. Happy 4th and red, white, and blue hugs back. 🇺🇸

These are nice and tasteful, John. I wasn’t sure what to expect after some of the previous holidays. Well done all around.

I’ll have the Shrimp Scampi, but could they toss in a couple gnocchi? I love those little guys.

Here’s a scampi with a side of gnocchi. That should do it. 😊

The flags with solar light is because (I think) you are to illuminate the flag if it flies at night. Your neighborhood does a great job with celebrating the Fourth. We do some here but not as much as you folks. I’ll have the Scampi please. Happy Fourth.

Cool. Don’t see bunting very often around here. Guess it doesn’t work well with the house styles.

I am guessing that Texas will have Texas sized fireworks, since it seems wet enough there for fire hazards not to be too dry. Can’t say the same for the drought stricken states in the West.

Patriotism on parade, ready for our 250th! Our flag will definitely be out.

Maybe no fireworks this year because of the drought. Things are mighty dry.

    Seared red fish, please!

There is something so comforting about bunting. It gives me the Norman Rockwell vibes.
