“So Twiggy. What’s going on?”
“Just starting my nap. How about you?”

“Been out hunting bears.”
“Ah, okay. Did you catch any?”

“No. You should see how cool it is under the couch.”
“What do you mean, cool?”

“Just what I said. The temperature is much cooler.”
“I don’t see how that can be. The fans overhead make things cooler.”

“Well, I’m just saying. It’s like a little oasis.”
“I think you are imagining things. There is no sun on the porch, so it should be cooler up here.”

“Hey, you guys. I think I got her.”
“For heaven’s sake. You know what dad said about that fourth wall.”

“You are not going to tell, are you?”
“Of course not. I’m not a snitch.”

“Snitch is a great word. Right up there with stool pigeon.”
“Well, no matter how you describe it, I won’t tell.”

“You are the best. Want to play something?”
“Sure. How about we play hide-and-seek? You’re it.”

“Okay, I’m going to count to 100. You go hide.”
“You have to shut your eyes.”
“I will. You can trust me.”
“Says the one who always jumps on me from behind.”
“That’s a different game. Now go. One. . .”

I like the way you matched ‘stool pigeon’ with Twiggy’s jump up to the top of whatever that covered thing is: a metaphorical ‘stool.’ She’s right that the shade helps, though. No tree? No problem. Just get under the couch.

That is a fire pit under there. The match was by accident, but I’ll take the kudo. Tempeste does like to get under that couch. Lots of little critters to investigate. Thanks, Linda. 😊

The girls are in rare form today! Very brazen of Tempeste to break that fourth wall. Is the anti-leaf-eating gate open?
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, the leaf-eating gate is closed. The one that’s open is the anti-jump off the porch railing.

Is this where they normally ‘lounge’ when they are outside or is this a diff part of the house? There is another structure in the BG in the first couple of pix that I don’t think I have noticed earlier. But regardless, these two have made themselves comfortable 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, this is our back porch where we all lounge when outside. That structure is a tent to cover the artificial turf, which gets extremely hot in the sun. The rest of the turf is covered by shade trees. (We wouldn’t want these little ones to get their paws burned) And yes, they always make themselves comfortable. Thanks, Ankur 😊
