I think it is wonderful to have such a close connection to wildlife John, but I suspect that any attempt to establish a colourful garden in the front of the house would be a great attraction… Where we lived on the outskirts of London backed onto a large area of forestation and grass and here was common grazing for cattle. At certain times of year they would visit estates like ours and help themselves to anything growing in the front garden.. quite something to have to move three or four large cows of the driveway to get the car out to go to work.. hugsx
