Friday Haiku is as Does

Finally Friday and time to get ready for the weekend. My favorite part of the weekend is not necessarily taking time off, but the thought time off is completely up to me. I have a self-imposed schedule that is a killer, but on the weekend it seems I cut myself some slack and goof off. It usually starts with a Margarita on Friday night to set the mood. It then works its way into actually taking time to relax. This is very hard for me and need to plan to release on a particular project. So this week’s Haiku hopefully captures this spirit. Hope you enjoy it.

The Line by John W. Howell

Friday is a line,

Drawn quite unnaturally . . .

Between life and work.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Oh, that is great, John! So you feel that way even though you’re “retired”! I imagine I’ll be the same way when I retire, unless I quit work entirely. You know, the dream is to retire and focus 100% on my writing which will be a full-time job, so that line between life and work will continue to be Friday.
By the way, are you getting my emails? I know you’re busy but I’ve had Gmail eat my emails before so I just want to check 🙂
    Happy Friday!

Let me look. I’ll get back. Thanks for the comments. Yes it I quite interesting how we stay with custom. I actually used to look forward to Saturday which was the only day my cell and e-mails would stop presenting one crisis after another. I still draw that line and relax more on the weekend. no real reason other than custom.

Thanks. I finally learned how to imbed them. The problem is when one is hunting for a good one there are so many distractions eating up time.

I hear you. I always lose time on YouTube when hunting. Even one that doesn’t work is hard to stop if I like it.

No line between work and rest for me right now, but I’ll try to walk with a little zen.

I so relate. Making my own work hours is a challenge. I sometimes don’t know when to let go! Margarita any day though 🙂

Nothing nicer than a weekend, except perhaps a long holiday somewhere exotic.

Well, it isn’t quite exotic, but I’d love to visit there; Romania. What about you??

I love the Margarita starter to your weekend roll, perfect. And the haiku is kicking. Love the Fiction Favorites haiku’s.

One of the best Haikus so far John. I need to be reintroduced to the joys of Margaritas!

One part lime juice, one part water, one part orange liqueur, one part tequila, one half part agave nectar. Shake and serve with slice of lime over ice. (or throw in a blender with ice and serve frozen.)
