Friday – JohnKu – TGIF

Friday again and I must say after the holiday last week this Friday seemed to take forever to get here. I don’t think it is my imagination since for whatever reason I really did only work three days last week. I took off New Year’s day to watch the Baylor Bears lose to Michigan State. The funny thing was I graduated from Michigan State and was rooting for the Bears. I should explain. My daughter went to Baylor graduating in 2011 and I guess I wanted to cheer on the place where I spent the most money. I remember when I attended Michigan Stare the cost was $186.00 a term (three terms in the year) for tuition. I think my daughter’s cable bill was higher than that. I won’t go into the obvious relative comparison data like a gallon of gas was nineteen cents just suffice it to say I followed the money on this one. Today’s JohnKu (a term coined by Words4jp) talks to how post vacation weeks are a pain. Hope you like it.

Is unfair labor practice . . .

After holiday.

  1. No kidding. Maybe the first day back should be a half day.

  2. Especially when you also have jury duty 😦 Fortunately, it only took up about 1.75 work days, and it is a civic duty and it was resolved in a way that we (jurors) were relieved (nobody wanted to ruin a young woman’s life just because of bad judgment and presumably pressure from someone larger and older). But now I feel behind on Life itself … so glad it’s Friday!

    1. Yes. You need to unwind after a tough week with the system.

      1. A couple glasses of wine, please! Red, at room temperature. Too cold for icy drinks, even in Florida 😉

  5. The game must have been fun John. I hear college fees are pretty high in the US especially for foreign students studying there. We will no doubt start catching up with you soon.

    1. A good school runs about $30,000 to $40,000 a year tuition only. There is room, board and books on top of that.
