a socs-badge

Stream of Consciousness Saturday time. This week’s prompt is “Ready.”  We minions are allowed to use it any way we want. Humm, I can think of a few ways. If you would like to join the madness fun, please go to Linda Hill’s blog and read up on what is needed.

“So are you ready?”

“Ready for what?”

“Ready to go.”

“Ready to go where?”

“Ready to go home.”

“Am I ready to go home?”

“I think that is the question. Yes, are you ready to go home?”

“No. I’m not ready.”

“Why aren’t you ready?”

“I’m not drunk enough.”

“Oh, I think you are.”

“Are what?”

“Drunk enough.”

“I think I’ve drunk enough but am not drunk enough. Does that make sense?”

“I guess in a weird way it makes sense. So you ready?”

“Sure let me get my shoes.”

“While you’re at it I would get your pants as well.”

“Might come in handy.”

  1. being caught with your pants down is bad enough but to go out without them is begging for a disaster or a night behind bars….Great post John…

    1. The bar part is almost certain. Thanks, Michael.

  2. You set the bar pretty high John. I’ve never been that drunk. Nice handling of the prompt.

  3. Hahaha! That must have been a particularly potent potable. Another entertaining scene, John. Great start to a Saturday. Hugs!

    1. Thank you Teagan. See you at tea.

      1. I’m honored kind sir. 🙂 A new cliffhanger awaits (soon to be posted, but not quite yet). Hugs!

      2. I just read it and it was swell. Comment over there.

  4. Nice! It sounds like someone had a rough night. Enjoy your Saturday, John!

    1. Not taken from personal experience of course.

      1. But, of course. 🙂

  5. And that’s how you start a weekend.

    1. I think we all have been one time or another.

  7. This is awesome .. very enjoyable read … and I think I’ve said every one of these.

  8. Nice one, John! *looks around wildly for the Southern Comfort…*

    1. Ha ha ha. Here it is.

  9. I’ve read “No shoes, no shirt, no service,” but never read anything about having to wear pants. The beauty of America!

  10. I doubt I’ll ever be ready for that kind of action.

    1. Aw. Sure you will.

  11. Hahaha! I wasn’t expecting that!

      1. It’s the best, isn’t it? 😀
