Tuesday – Anything Possible – Kreative Kue # 83 by Keith Krates –

I love prompts and in Keith’s words. “Using this photo (Below)as inspiration, write a short story, flash fiction, scene, poem; anything, really; and either put it (or a link to it) in a comment or email it to me at keithkreates@channing.fr before 6pm next Sunday (if you aren’t sure what the time is where I live, this link will tell you). If you post it on your own blog or site, a link to this page would be appreciated, but please do also mention it in a comment here – for reasons I have yet to fathom, pingbacks don’t seem to be working.

Go on. You know you want to. Let your creativity and imagination soar. I shall display the entries, with links to your own blog or web site, next Monday.”

Here’s the photo

Kreative Kue

Going my Way? By John W. Howellย ยฉ 2016

“Where is everybody going?”

“You’re kidding, right?”

“No, but since I’m in this crowd, I’d like to know our destination.”

“You didn’t see that lion back there?”

“Lion? Hell no I didn’t see a lion.”

“Well, that’s nothing. There is an elephant as well.”

“No kidding. They get away from the zoo?”

“I guess. We are all running for our lives.”

“This whole pack is running away from one lousy lion?”

“You want to be the one to stop him?”

“Well, no. I just think if someone would take charge then we could all turn on him and dare him to attack us.”

“Good plan in theory. Why don’t you ask for volunteers.”

“Ha ha ha very amusing.”

“By the way what kind of shoes are you wearing.”

“Nikes, why?”

“Oh, I just wondered. I think mine are faster.”

“So you think you’ll be able to outrun the lion?”

“See that’s just it. I’m not worried about outrunning the lion.”

“What are you worried about then?”

“I figure I don’t have to outrun the lion I just have to outrun you.”

“Yeah, very funny.”

  1. *Roaring* good fun, John. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a terrific Tuesday. Mega hugs

    1. Thanks, Teagan. Tantalizing Tuesday to tu. (I wanted to make Tuesday T day so I used the familiar for vous.)

      1. The good thought is welcome. It turned out to be a terrible Tuesday… Will send a note. Looking forward to Story Time at lunch today. Hugs.

      2. Thanks. Have a good one. (lunch and day) Hugs

  2. I can just imagine a lion and an elephant standing around behind the crowd. They’re just watching the silly humans run away as if Godzilla is coming.

    1. Ha ha ha. I would love to see that. ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Let’s hope you buddy makes a good meal. Thanks for the chuckle, John.

    1. Good or bad better than me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. So true. I’m not very fast these days. Maybe I should start carrying steak sauce with me.

    1. A streak sauce filled balloon to throw at others would be perfect.

      1. You may be on to something. Six for five bucks, get a spot at Cabela’s. Instant retirement plan.

Tons of laughs, fool your friends, great for outdoor barbecues.

  5. I loved this, John!

    1. Thank you, Mr. Hook.:-D

  6. Hahahaaha. Cruel chap, but at least he’s thinking straight.

    1. Yes. He seems to know whats up.

  7. Great story, John, but the picture gave me hives. I’m not a fan of crowds…especially running crowds.

    1. I know what you mean. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Nicely done, John. What puzzles me is there aren’t a lot of women in this photo. Makes me appreciate that the fairer sex probably is too wise to find itself in front of wild animals to outrun ;)!!!

    1. Give your gender a pat on the back. So Right!!!

  9. Doesn’t the concept of being chased by lions just fill you with pride?
    Nice one, John. Thank you.

    1. Ha ha ha. ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. Oh, the power of imagination!! Very good, John!

    1. Thanks, Jan. You are the best. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. That’s the ticket. Leave a snack for the lion and you’re good to go. Rip-roaring (sorry) FUNNY!
    ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Thanks, Tess. ๐Ÿ˜€

  12. Loved it, John! Very imaginative and loads of fun!
