Another Friday is upon us. Now that I am back in the maw of organized commerce, the day has more significance. I do need some time off. I have been running all week, and as you read this, I will be flying back to Texas from LA. This assignment is such that I’m not sure I will make it home this weekend or not. The pace is pretty brisk and since my role is to develop the strategy for success I have to be involved in all aspects.
If I didn’t want to do it, I would not have said “yes” to the request to be engaged once more. (It is rewarding and a heck of a lot of fun)
This week’s JohnKu talks to doing what you love. I hope you like it.
Life’s Work by John W. Howell
Work produces much,
Important food on the list…
Love has to be part.

I remember those days!! My last day of work was 6 years ago – THAT’s the day you’re really on Cloud Nine and flying high!!

Mine was four years ago and I know how you feel. This assignment was just too interesting to turn down. Happy weekend GP. 🙂

Glad to hear you’re having fun. Though, I do hope you get to relax and recover some energy this week. Exhaustion can be a nasty fun drainer.

You are so right. Took the red eye from CA and got back to Texas at 2:30 am today. So why am I up now? Who knows.

Time zone difference? Though, I’d vote for a more active brain than body.

Still here … meaning your gulf view or that you are still in LA?

In San Antonio so I’m trusting the Gulf view is still there. 🙂

Such a true Johnku. Well said my friend. I remember the inner rewards of having terrific bosses who respected not just my work, but my insights. There’s nothing like it. I can understand why you accepted. This gig sounds really exciting. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. But just the same, yes — TGIF! Have a fabulous Friday. Mega hugs.

My dad used to tell me that the person who enjoyed his work would never “work” a day in his life — and I’ve always believed that. Glad you’re enjoying the new gig, John. Have a relaxing weekend!

I work out of my house and one thing I miss about going to a place of work–besides remembering what day it is (days blend into each other when you work from a home office) is the feeling of Friday meaning a weekend’s upon us. Nice memory.
