Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

Friday

Another week is about to go into history. Friday is the measure of our lives it seems. We all look forward to it even if we are not chained to a full-time job. Friday has a sense of accomplishment attached to it that no other day can share. I think if Friday were an animal it would be a trumpeting elephant announcing its presence to the world.  Friday crashes through trees and lets nothing get in the way. In short, Friday is awesome. Today’s JohnKu does not try to hide the idea of a boisterous Friday. I hope you like it and congratulations on making it this far.  Oh, and by the way, His Revenge will be on sale for $0.99 starting December 8th through Sunday, December 11th in the US and the UK. (£0.99). I will say more as we get closer.

Friday by John W. Howell

No way to silence,

The obvious arrival. . .

Of our revered pal.

Another great JohnKu! I especially like your description of Fridays…I’ve never thought of Friday in those terms, but you are so right, “Friday has a sense of accomplishment attached to it that no other day can share.” Perfect!

    1. Thank you, Gwen. I would like to give each day of the week an animal and a mood. For example Monday would be a swamp rat and an overwhelming inferiority complex. 🙂

  2. Reblogged this on Musings on Life & Experience and commented:
    All about Friday.

    1. Thank you, Suzanne.

  3. Enjoy the weekend. Going to be away for a few days with iffy Wifi here. Definitely feeling that elephant sensation.

    1. Don’t be gone too long. Have a good one. 😀

  4. TGIF with bells on! It’s been a loooong (and very cold) week – but I’m warm again in time for the weekend. Enjoy yours, John! 😀

    1. Thanks, Jan. I’ll be “seeing ” you around the conference floor.:-D

  5. Gird your loins well in preparation for the epic battle to release the imprisoned wine. You may have to find a new receptacle to hold it once free. Be prepared.
    Hugs

    1. Five gallon bucket standing by. Thanks, David. Happy Weekend to you.

      1. I was thinking five gallon stomach might be more in order John.
        Hugs

  6. Friday is so special I start celebrating it on Thursday 🙂 Great Johnku! Indeed, I am SO grateful for this Friday. After having a short but intense week, this week was long and intense. We’ll be celebrating Friday with pizza and beer tonight 😉 Have a great weekend, John!

    1. We have Pizza and red wine on the menu. Happy weekend, Marie.

      1. That sounds good, too 🙂

  7. Guess I’ve been a hero for several years now – Happy Friday, John!

    1. Me too, Teri. makes you feel good doesn’t it? 🙂

  8. I’d never thought of Friday as a trumpeting elephant before, but it fits!! There’s something magical about “surviving” an entire week of work. Love the JohnKu — and best wishes for the book’s promotion!

  9. John, I love the idea of Friday being an elephant!
As for the wine, wow… I didn’t know i was a hero. 😉 Have a fabulous Friday. Mega hugs.

    1. We are all heroes. Thanks, Teagan. 😀

      1. As a wine-hero (erm… that goes with wino a little too well…) I think I’m on the way to super hero status! o_O Hmmm now I need a superhero name… the Spumante Siren? Super Shiraz? The Cabernet Cavalier? Oh well, whatever it is, as long as I don’t have to run…

  10. Excellent JohnKu, good sir! I absolutely love the opening picture!

    1. Thanks, John. It made me laugh. I’ve been a hero thousands of times. 🙂

      1. Don’t want to sound morbid – but you’ll be remembered as a great hero!!😉

      2. Thank ya, thank ya very much. 🙂

  11. Perfect! I love Fridays (goodbye workweek, hello weekend!). and I’ve come to view your JohnKus as a fun part of the day.

  12. Another good JohnKu John. Have a good weekend.

    1. Thanks, Gu. You as well.

  13. Strange…this never showed up in my Reader. The perfect JohnKu and meme! Happy Friday!

    1. Humm maybe you should activate the e-mail option.

  14. Welcome the elephant 🙂

    1. Hail the elephant.

  15. This never came to my reader either. I have you in my “must read” list too. I tripped over it on Facebook.

    1. I wonder what the problem is my end or yours?

      1. No idea, but one of your other commenters seems to have had the same issue. It happened to me once before on your blog, then was fine for a long time. At least with me being on Facebook, I still catch them.

  16. Straight down to the pub
    Blotting out the weekday grind
    “Pint of cider please.”

    1. Good one, Dale. I would rather have a black and tan but the five syllable convention won’t allow it. 😀

  17. Friday rules!!

    f

    1. Absolutely. Thanks, Traci

  18. Fabulous JohnKu. Another entertaining Friday closing. 🙂 🙂 😛
