Another week has flown. I mean this is getting ridiculous. Either I somehow nod off and lose a few hours here and there or time is passing way too quickly. Well, I hope you enjoyed the work week. (Excuse me. Did he just say that?) If not, I hope next week is better. If so, I hope next week is just as nice. (I should go into the diplomatic corps )
I got my Circumstances of Childhood manuscript back from the editor. I will be diving into that this weekend. I’m also continuing to work on the next. The story is coming together nicely.
I did launch a new Amazon Marketing Services ad for My GRL and this time increased the number of keywords. I’ll let you know what happens.
I read a fellow author’s post which asked a question about wasting our lives. It was posed in the context of trying to accomplish some life goals and in the process do we spend time on activities that turn out to be a waste. My point was all activities directed toward a life goal including those we feel are failures could be considered time spent learning.

Good luck with the book and ad. Trying my own Amazon ad and it’s not impressing me so far. In regards to the post, I got a sense that part of it is also who deems the goal a failure. Maybe it’s tougher these days since it’s harder to avoid the opinions of those around you. One tag on Facebook and you’re stuck looking at the judgement.

Yeah, I hear the problem with the voice of others. I would love to think up a way to drown them out, but it really is hard to do. I think it will boil down to staying true to what one believes in and trying the best we can to fulfill that belief. (Easy to say but harder to implement) Thanks, Charles.

Mental and emotional endurance is key, I guess. Just need to get through the voices until they get bored. Although, I’ve noticed modern day humans are fans of never letting something go. It’s like they’re all trying to spite the song from that movie.

There is some comfort for some in being critical. I think it is coping mechanism for their failures. Hope you weekend goes well.

If you figure out what’s happening to our time – please tell me! As a kid, Christmas was always so faaaar away, yet now I think I should just leave the lights and tree up because it’s just around the corner!!!

I agree with Lynn. The older we get the faster the days and years seem to fly by. A lot of that . could have to do with the fact that we now live in a fast-forward world. Or so it seems to me.
As for the workweek, I was standing in a morning coffee line at a local restaurant not that long ago, and the gentleman ahead of me struck up a conversation. He was obviously retired and enjoying his morning. The first thing he said to me was “You look like you’re headed to work. I don’t want to stand to close. It might be catching.”
That still makes me grin 🙂

My own ads have been hit and miss. I find they work well as a push on several fronts.

All at once do a blog tour, a FB ad, an Amazon ad, maybe a price reduction. It’s more work, but it seems to actually work. I’d reserve it for a release or shortly after.

After 21 Time suddenly seemed to speed up! WTF is that?!!! So many times I’ve yelled, screamed, pleaded TIME STAND STILL JUST A MOMENT MORE! No one’s listening. SIGH!
