Thursday – A little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Outside

Twiggy and Lucy

“What’s that noise at the fence?
“Don’t know little one. But the Boss wants a photo.”

“Where ks he? it’s hot out here?’

“I have no idea.”

“Oh, here he is.  Snap to Lucy.”

“You sure he’s ready?”

“Good photo, girls. Thanks.”

“I’m going to the fence Twiggy.”

“I’ll beat you, Lucy.”

“You always do.”

“So, what is it?”

“I think there is a squirrel out there, Lucy.”

“That’s all? I’m getting out of the sun.”

“Hey, mom. I’m ready to come in.”

“I’m going to stay. You never know what’s out there.”

“Now I’ll do my fawn impersonation. Patience is golden.”

“I’m doing my nap on the porch impersonation. No patience necessary.”

“Okay, Lucy. I gave up. These rocks are interesting, though.”

  1. It’s always so sweet to accompany pups as they explore the yard or the surrounding neighborhood. Congrats on the beautiful back yard. Wow! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Jill. All the producer’s work. By the way, I will be off for a few days so let me wish you a happy weekend.* Sung to the tune of Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band. 😁

  2. The yard looks so awesome and peaceful. What a great haven for the girls to roam around in. I like that they have so many options, and they certainly seem to be enjoying them.

  3. Ah, Twiggy will turn into Nancy Drew, with the mysterious noise and smell, unseen from the other side of the fence. Ya’ll are making some lovely outdoor living spaces. Thanks for sharing all the photos. Hugs on the wing.

  4. Are they finally finished with the yard makeover, John? If so, looks great to me. I like the colors and the interesting textures distributed throughout.

      1. Yes, of course, it is. You know that saying about dogs have owners and cats have staff, but let’s face it, when it comes to lawn doodoo, dogs have staff, too!

  5. I’m sure you must have been enjoying these past two days of lower temperatures and lower humidity — even I’ve enjoyed being outdoors, and I suspect the girls’ have enjoyed their time in the yard, too. That’s one attractive outdoor living space — I really like it.

  6. What a nice patio! It looks very relaxing with good privacy. I’m sure the girls are so happy to have the fence in so they play freely (even if Twiggy can’t see the squirrels or deer 😉 ). I laughed out loud with Lucy’s nap impersonation, no patience necessary.

  7. I love Twiggy’s fawn impersonation. The yard looks wonderful, John. I love the mix of stones and grass. Is the large patio and the stepping pavers hot to walk on?

    1. The stepping pavers are made of limestone and are cool on the feet no matter the temperature. The poured concrete patio is very hot. Once it is fully cured we are going to put a cool topping on it (Much like they use around pools) Thanks, Jennie.
