“What’s that noise at the fence?
“Don’t know little one. But the Boss wants a photo.”
“Where ks he? it’s hot out here?’
“I have no idea.”
“Oh, here he is. Snap to Lucy.”
“You sure he’s ready?”
“Good photo, girls. Thanks.”
“I’m going to the fence Twiggy.”
“I’ll beat you, Lucy.”
“You always do.”
“So, what is it?”
“I think there is a squirrel out there, Lucy.”
“That’s all? I’m getting out of the sun.”
“Hey, mom. I’m ready to come in.”
“I’m going to stay. You never know what’s out there.”
“Now I’ll do my fawn impersonation. Patience is golden.”
“I’m doing my nap on the porch impersonation. No patience necessary.”
“Okay, Lucy. I gave up. These rocks are interesting, though.”
The garden’s looking good, John. And Twiggy and Lucy look like they’re having fun in the sun. Have a wonderful upcoming weekend, John 🙂

I like that fence. Mine has vertical slats and is showing its age now.
LikeLiked by 2 people
It doesn’t take long to age. We went with horizontal to maybe minimize the gaps when the boards warp.

Sounds like it could work.

The yard looks so awesome and peaceful. What a great haven for the girls to roam around in. I like that they have so many options, and they certainly seem to be enjoying them.
Happy almost FriYay, John!

Thank you, Mae. They seem to enjoy both types of the yard. Twiggy loves the rocks and walking on the limestone path. Lucy is good anywhere.

Twiggy as impetuous youth and Lucy as wisdom, speaking from the blessed wings of an afternoon nap. I love this. 🙂

Very pretty back there. I hope they appreciate it hahaha! Do they pick up their own burdens they leave in the grass? Or does that fall to you?

That be my job. Ha haha. They don’t pick up anything. Thanks, Luanne.

Yes, of course, it is. You know that saying about dogs have owners and cats have staff, but let’s face it, when it comes to lawn doodoo, dogs have staff, too!

What a nice patio! It looks very relaxing with good privacy. I’m sure the girls are so happy to have the fence in so they play freely (even if Twiggy can’t see the squirrels or deer 😉 ). I laughed out loud with Lucy’s nap impersonation, no patience necessary.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Twiggy has learned to squint between the boards and can see the deer. Of course, she hears everything and then rushes to look. Lucy hasn’t learned how.

lol … Lucy would probably rather nap 😉

I love Twiggy’s fawn impersonation. The yard looks wonderful, John. I love the mix of stones and grass. Is the large patio and the stepping pavers hot to walk on?
LikeLiked by 1 person
The stepping pavers are made of limestone and are cool on the feet no matter the temperature. The poured concrete patio is very hot. Once it is fully cured we are going to put a cool topping on it (Much like they use around pools) Thanks, Jennie.

Ah! I didn’t know limestone was cool to the touch, and I didn’t know that you can put a cool topping on concrete. Thanks, John!
