Twiggy and Lucy

How about a tense jungle game, Lucy?”

“Sounds fun. You the Puma and me the Watter Buffalo?”

“As usual.”

“The Puma carefully and with great skill pokes the Water Buffalo to see if it still lives.”

“Very funny. Of course, the Water Buffalo lives.”

“The Puma makes a thrust for the heart.”

“Which the buffalo stops with one stroke of the paw. . . er, hoof.”

“The Puma gives the buffalo one last chance to call it quits.”

“The buffalo whispers, “Bring it on.”

“The puma throws herself into battle.”

“The buffalo holds steady to meet the onslaught.”

“Ha, the buffalo is down for the count.”

“The buffalo calls up its reserve strength.”

“One mighty whack, and the puma is finished.”

“The puma decides to give up the fight.”

“That was fun, Lucy. I hope the folks liked it.”

“What folks are you talking about.”

“The readers. I hope you know there are readers.”

“Yeah, I do, Little one. Now, we need a drink of water.”

I have been working in business for over forty years and now have the time to work in special areas of interest. My passion has always been to create compelling stories of fiction. I have authored six novels and am working on my Seventh. The first novel is still in manuscript form and being utilized as a door stop in the laundry room. The second is a contemporary fiction novel of 89,000 words and is complete and I am currently seeking a publisher. I also write poetry but have not had the guts to share any with anyone.   20. Yes, you can let them know the “folks” loved their battle. 🙂 Twiggy’s coat color seems to be changing, or maybe it’s just the angle of the lense. Thank you for sharing, as always, John!

  35. This series never fails to bring a smile. I saw a kind of parody of a Hitler movie clip where while the actors were speaking in German, the subtitles were in English and had been changed to the theme of Covid-19. It was outrageously funny. You should think of doing something like that with this series of yours.
