      1. It brings back memories of walking through what was then the new suq in Sharjah. At least one in every seven or eight shops was blaring out Abba at full blast!

I love arts/crafts fairs, but I’ve not been to one for a while. I like to support the artists and usually come home with a few delights. Wonderful post, John. Now I’m thinking about biscuits and singing The Winner Takes It All. Have a good one! πŸ˜€

  6. First, I’ll order the MC Hammer. Scramble eggs & biscuits sounds good. A pet portrait for my wife ( she’d toss it if I gave her one of me), the hat and boot tables were interesting. Are western books as comfortable as I’ve heard folks say? Can’t go wrong with ABBA. I’ll grab some nuts for the ride home in the Porche. Great post.

  15. Dear John
What a beautiful car this red TR3.
We had a Christmas sale in our village hall as well. Dina and I run a stall for two hours for a local charity group. We bought much more than we sold. We found some rare books, two very rare art books for an exceptionable price and one book about Captain Scott’s voyages, first edition (1914), signed in mint condition. Our dear Master collects books about the polar regions and he was very happy having found this edition. And GREAT joy in the end, Dina won the first price in a raffle, a huge Christmas hamper from the posh delicatessen in our village full of goodies to eat and excellent vines.
    Wishing you a happy week
