We went out to see if there were any St. Patrick’s Day decorations in the neighborhood. We found some so the tour is on. We are catered by Foxy’s Proper Pub in Austin. Our entertainment is (who else?) The Irish Rovers
Let’s go.
Our first is this cute Lepricon.
A shamrock on the door.
A turtle wearin’ O’ the green.
Another door shamrock.
Here is a wall shamrock and wreath.
Our friend, the armadillo.
St Patrick’s Day and Cancer survivor’s flags.
Shamrock welcome.
Hanging decoration.
The best display ever for St Patrick’s Day.
I hope you liked the tour. Now let’s eat and enjoy the music. I hope you have a great week.
My favorite is the Celtic knot lawn flag. I’d bet there are some real Celts in that family. The simplicity of the wreath and shamrock on the wall is attractive, too.

Thanks, GP. I didn’t think there would be too many but got a surprise.

Was going to say the turtle was the best, but then I saw the armadillo. Really tough decision.

I sing that song to my grandson, along with hand movements. He loves it! We don’t have any decorations in the neighborhood yet, but I will make an Irish Guinness stew for the 15th.
Fired pickles and a corn beef sandwich, please (I’ll pretend I am not on a diet).

Go ahead, Noelle. Not a calorie in the bunch. Guinness stew sounds delicious.

Grand whimsical fun, John. I loved the turtle and the armadillo. It was fun to hear the unicorn song again. I had forgotten all about it. Darn… I wish I had kept my green wig when I moved here…
Hugs.

I love every single decoration, John! The more, the better! No one decorates for St. Patrick’s Day around here, more’s the pity. I’ve always enjoyed the day, especially since it’s also my birthday! Yep. I’ll be 79 years old on Friday, and seeing lots of shamrocks and Celtic knots and GREEN stuff would make me very happy! Love the music you shared, too! Happy St. Patrick’s Day, my friend! Here’s to the wearin’ o’ the green! 😀 🧩(That last one is the closest thing to a shamrock I could find!!!🙄 Oh, well. At least it’s GREEN. 😂)

I love the decorations, John. What fun! I’m especially fond of the turtle and the armadillo. I noticed one decorated home in our area, but I think there are many hidden Irish in cowboy land, including me. ☘️

In all my years, I’ve never seen people decorate for St. Patrick’s Day!!! Must be a lot of Irish ancestry in your neighborhood! That said … I’d like the Fish ‘n Chips with a side order of fried pickles … I’ll share both, for I cannot eat more than half of either! I loved the turtle, and the adorable leprechaun, but the house alight in green and all the lawn decorations takes the prize! Thanks for this fun jaunt through da hood, John!!! I had great fun!
