Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Lucy Inside.

“Well, dad, it’s been real, but I have to go play. So a quick down dog and I’m outa here.”

“I understand. I’ll be here doing a post.”

“Ahhh. A quick upward-facing dog, and I’ll be ready for anything.”

“I thought you were gone already.”

“Had to get in my last poses. I’m out of here now.”

“I’ll come with you.”

“Whoa. Not very warm out here. Must be in the 60s.”

“Yes, the high today is only in the 70s.”

“That Northern wind is pretty brutal too.”

“Yes, it must be at least six miles per hour.”

Hey Lucy, I don’t think it will work out there.”

“What’s the problem?”

“Feels like it’s going to snow. That’s the problem. I’m just not good when it is below 80 degrees.”

“Well, then, let’s find something to do inside.”

“Okay, Dad. You heard Lucy. What should we do?”

“Have you checked out your toys today? Might be something there.”

“I’m looking but don’t see anything new here.”

“I didn’t say there was anything new. I just said something might be there, which I meant to play with.”

“Aw, come on. It sounded like there was going to be a new toy.”

“Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to mislead you.”

“That’s okay. I think I’ll just go bug Lucy. By the way. Playing isn’t your strong suit. So don’t give up writing.”

“Lucy. Take care of your sister.”

“Like in the Godfather, boss?”

  1. Oh, my gosh. That last line. I nearly spat my coffee!

I think you owe Twiggy a toy. She clearly doesn’t have enough. Give both of them extra ear scratches from me today. 🥰

  2. Love ‘playing isn’t your strong suit!’ I can tell Twiggy is a Southern gal if 70 degrees is cold! Lots of smiles today!
PS Tell Twiggy that Garfield does a downward facing cat and an upward facing cat.

  3. That formal stretching out before going out is probably something I’m going to have to adopt down the road, but not just yet. It sounds like the girls would like you to sharpen your playing skills? Maybe get them a new toy and they’ll cut you some slack, John!

Too funny, and Twiggy looks like a real yogi to me. I can see her leading a class. So cute these posts are. And I’m very happy to see Lucy. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Susannah. Sometimes Twiggy just wants to go do her own thing. Then she wants someone to play with. Then she wants everyone to play with her. You just don’t know. She does good stretches for sure. Thanks for the comment. Yes, it is good to see Lucy. I’m grateful for each day.

  5. The weather suprises everywhere. I’m glad that Twiggy followed the wise Lucy & did not go out. 🙂 There is so much fun inside! For example, to have a nap.😅 Thank you, for the repirt, dear John.🍤🍤🍤🍻

  6. Good thing you don’t live in the Midwest, John. Poor Twiggy would probably be miserable, with our changing temperatures! And I’m sure she needs a trip to Petsmart for yet another toy — maybe an Easter duck??!

  7. Oh man! Twiggy you are amazingly cute.
Lucy, you are the elegant one.
Soon it will be summer and warm.

OH, tell dad I came here to get a copy of “The Last Drive” book cover!

  8. Those two photos with your dialogue, John, put a big smile on my face. And that toy corner is pretty spectacular, even if there isn’t anything new for Twiggy to play with. 🙂 It’s funny, I love weather below 80 degrees. Any higher and I melt. And that last photo of Twiggy and her cuteness melted my heart too. 😀
