  1. Another great Sunday post, John, and I loved every single one of the photos. My favorite is the gorgeous picture of the Carolina wren, one of my favorite yard birds. (Such a fantastic song!) I’d go with the waterfall second, because … PRETTY!! And I have a special place for waterfalls in my heart. They all seem magical.

I’m very happy to see none of this was damaged by the recent tornados. (My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were in the paths of those.) Thanks so much for sharing, and have a great Father’s Day! 😊

      1. For such a tiny bird, they have the loudest song of all, and such a cheery, happy sounding one, too. They come to my feeder, as well, even though they are primarily insect eaters. I do love them! 😁❤️

  2. I like this event. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of national pride left, but community pride is still available. I used to take a lot of photos, but when they abandoned film I was left with a bunch of expensive paperweights.

  3. I would be hard put to pick a winner from this group of photos, John. They are all superb. I love the fact the event had classical music! And I will go with the shrimp po’boy today – hard to beat that!

  4. There are so many great images there that tell me you have a lot of really good photographers there. Flag Duty, the Lightening sun burst, the Wren, and the creek in Autumn are my favorites in this series.

You certainly live in a cool hood.
Adore the song you picked. It goes perfect with the post.

  6. The judges did a good job with the winning entries! I like the Carolina wren and the waterfall, but that dog leaping into the water is pretty cool, too. Congrats to the winners — and what a fun day for all!

  7. Congratulations to all the winners. You take some pretty good shots in your neighborhood, John, that would have been good enough to enter. Especially the deer. Thanks for the food, music and art!
