Thursday – A little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste and a Mystery

“Twiggy. Wake up. I hear something.”

“Mmffmm.”

“I’m serious. There is something out there.”

“Ummmf. Huh?”

“We have to get up and find out what it is.”

“My goodness I just dozed off.”

“There it is again. You hears that?”

“I sure do. Funny I didn’t hear the FedEx truck either.”

“That’s what I mean. It is some kind of weird sound.”

“I guess it is up to me to figure it out.”

“There it is again. I would swear it is at the front door.”

“I don’t smell the Amazon or UPS driver either.”

“You see anything?”

“Nope and I haven’t heard that noise again.”

“It is scary that we can’t identify the source.”

“Just wait. If it’s still there it will make more noise.”

“There it is at the front door.”

“Hold your bark till we are sure it is something that we can send to St. Louis.”

“Hey you guys. I know you’re in there. Where’s my carrots?”

“Oh, brother.”

“You going to attack or shall I?”

“Let’s go back to our nap. Mom will get the carrots for those moochers.”

  1. A deer at your door! Wow. Sure seems to have given the girls a nice mystery to solve 😉

Hope you’re all doing well, John. Have a lovely upcoming weekend. Hugs 🤗💖

  2. That’s impressive you get a Deer at the front door and the girls don’t bark! Do you feed the Deer carrots like Dan feeds the birds, and squirrels peanuts? Two weeks ago we had a small herd of mostly Does feeding on the new sweet golf course’s grass out back. They were there several evenings feeding themselves then retreated back to the sagebrush. I guess they’ve moved on as I’ve not seen them since.

  3. It’s good to see we’re not the only ones who have beggars coming to the door for handouts. I didn’t know deer like carrots. Bunnies do, and we get that look if we don’t put them in the yard. Nice that the girls are on top of this.

  4. How sweet is that, and what a great photo of a Bambi lookalike.

I love how sleepy Twiggy looks at first while Tempeste is on high alert. You can tell Twiggy has had more experience. I’m always so charmed by your house by the way. Those girls sure have it made.

    🙂

    1. Thank you, Susannah. The latest addition is the ramp to keep Tempeste from jumping off the back of the sofa. So far, it is working. She actually goes out of her way to use it. We like the fact that the house is on one floor. 😊

  6. Twiggy and Tempeste are ever on the alert! So funny how our furbabies can seem to be deep in sleep yet the slightest sound gets their attention. How cool to have deer visiting!

  7. Poor Monk would be beside himself if he saw a deer standing at the door!! Your girls are remarkably calm — can you share some of that stuff for Monk??

  8. Moochers?

T & T that deer is very adorable. Do they come around begging a lot?

I wish we had deer here. We have coyotes, racoons and skunks. Do you have those too?

I’m happy you didn’t scare the deer. However, I’d LOVE to see you send a Fed-Ex guy to St. Louis!

    Now that sounds fun.

    1. Yes, Miss Resa. They come every day. We have foxes, skunks, coyotes, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, snakes, and armadillos. Sending all those delivery guys to St. Louis is what we live for. So much fun. O🦊 O🐼

      1. 😅😅😅What a wonderful company! I have made friends with wild green parrots. And learnt one of them to talk a bit. And he learnt his wife. So, now when they are flying above I hear them screaming: “Pro… Pro… Prosha”)))

  9. I couldn’t leave your blog site without seeing Twiggy and Tempeste, and I wasn’t expecting the deer to be at your door… What a joy that must be… And did she get any carrots?
