Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Wait for Mom.

“Hey Twiggy. Where’s Mom?”

“Um, I’m not sure.”

“Not sure? What are you crazy?”

“What does that supposed to mean?”

“If she gets out of our sight, we may lose her forever.”

“I don’t think so. Be patient. She’ll show up.”

“In case you haven’t noticed, patience is not one of my virtues.”

“Well, what are you afraid of then?”

“When Mom disappears, she is out of my control.”

“Well, that sounds a little nuts to me.”

“What I mean is I get concerned about her.”

“Goodness, she has been around a lot longer than you.”

“Okay, I admit it. I get insecure when she’s not in my sight.”

“Like all Frenchies.”

“I’m checking behind the bikes.”

“Yeah, go ahead and hide out. I think I hear her.”

“You do? Where is she?”

“Coming this way from the garage.”

“Oh, I see her. Hey, Mom, here we are. Yoo hoo, Mom.

“She’s coming. By the way, you better figure out what you are going to say about the pillows you messed up.”

“I’m going to blame you.”

“Ha ha ha. She’ll never fall for that, but give it your best shot.”

Of course the girls are delightful, but here’s an unrelated question: is that black and white rug new? I don’t remember seeing it before, and it’s exceptionally attractive!

It is about a year old. We went to black cushions on the furniture so the other rug had a neutral tone and didn’t fit.

Mom is obviously an important part of this family. Could it be that she (like me) is the one who feeds them? Dot & Lia get very excited when I return, even if I was only gone a little while. Lia follows me around like a little shadow! Twiggy looks like she is feeling better.

The funny thing is, I feed them. They just like Mom better is all. Twiggy is feeling better but still has a droop. She is shaking much better. I know that’s a small item, but she couldn’t shake when she first got home. Thanks, Darlene

Twiggy’s maturity is shining through. And hey, at least Tempeste knows that she is not patient, so there is that! I guess they have a bit of anxiety when Mom is not within eyesight!

    How’s our Twiggy doing?

    Liked by 1 person

    1. John W. Howell's avatar

Yes, they love their mom. Twiggy is doing okay. She is eating well and sleeping well. She still has a head tilt and drooping muzzle. Not sure if that will ever go away. She is playing with toys and has her shake back. (She couldnt shake when she first got home) So these are all small improvements. Thanks, Dale

Are Frenchies Velcro dogs, too? The reason I ask is that Monk is, for sure. He’s GOT to know where I am at all times, and he frets big time if he doesn’t. Hide-and-Seek is not his favorite game, as you can imagine! By the way, I’m with Linda on that black and white rug – it’s gorgeous!

Twiggy has to see a neurologist on Tuesday. There was no bacterial in the spinal fluid sample so the hunt is still on for the cause of the infection. The doctor suspects that it may be a bone infection. He also believes she has some fluid in her right ear, which will need surgery to remove. Twiggy is happy, eating and sleeping well. Thanks for your concern, Jennie.
