“Hey, Twiggy. Check out my Down Dog yogi move.”
“I can’t see you from here.”

“Darn it. You missed my Down Dog.”
“Well, just do it again over here.”

“What do you have there?”
A snowman from last year.”

“I don’t remember that toy.”
“Well, it was here last year. Maybe you just forgot.”

“Just forgot? Are you kidding? I have the memory of an elephant.”
“Well, it looks like you are one peanut shy of a full memory load.”

“This is serious. You don’t think I have dementia, do you?”
“Of course not. You are too young. You just forgot the toy, is all.”

“I never forget a toy. That has a face no one could forget.”
“Well then, maybe you never played with it.”

“I guess that could be. I try to grab every toy, so this has me confused.”
“I can sure vouch for you grabbing toys.”

“I know, right? This might be serious.”
“Forget it already. Just accept that you overlooked one.”

“I don’t know if I can. Forgetting a toy is one thing, but not grabbing it is quite another.”
“I’ll be through in a minute, then you can grab this one.”
“You are such a good sister.”
“Or someone who wants this memory vs grab conversation to be over.”

It looks like new furniture, John! Are you sure they will not exercise biting? 😉 Best wishes, Michael

Twiggy gets respect. Tempest does not grab toys, but if Twiggy walks away, Tempest swoops in.

I can understand Tempeste’s worry but truly, she is much too young for that 😉 Thankfully, Twiggy is so wise.

Twiggy is a good sister – having to put up with Tempeste’s memory hole! Patience personified explaining it. Love the yoga pose. Our cats do it: Downward Facing Cat.
More weekly belly rubs for both of the girls.

Tempeste’s down dog is better than mine. Maybe she could get certified and teach. You could be her first pupil.
…“I never forget a toy. That has a face no one could forget.” Sure hope that snowman doesn’t get a complex. I’m just saying.

If Tempeste took me on as a pupal, I would do the dead dog perfectly. The poor snowman. 😀

I love the decor of your home, John — and I find myself marveling that you have TWO dogs who don’t seem to shed, drag all over that white furniture, and leave messes behind. Wow, I’m impressed — of course, if you’d like a more “doggy look,” I’ll loan you the Monk for a weekend?!?

We do cover the couch. They have no interest in the chairs, so we are free of that worry. I appreciate your offer, but you know how it goes. Poor Tempeste and Twiggy would feel hurt with another dog in the house. (And we would need family therapy) Thanks for the compliment, Debbie.

Haha! It’s funny how they can be that way with toys. This week Daphne and Velma have rediscovered their “ring” toys (from juice and milk containers) that they had lost interest in over a year ago. Head scratches to the girls. Hugs.

Excellent form on the down dog. Tell Tempeste not to worry about forgetting the toy. I was cleaning out our storage area and came across a Halloween decoration that’s been there since we moved in over 19 years ago. Didn’t have any memory of it at all – and it was a black cat, something you’d think would ring a bell, lol.

Twiggy is so patient with Tempeste, but I can see how Tempeste tries to wear her down (“I’ll get that toy yet!”) 🙂

She does wear her down. Twiggy finally gets up in frustration, and Tempeste grabs whatever it is.

Tempeste, are you envious of Twiggy when she has a toy?
Do you want what Twiggy has?
Do you think toys are tastier when you get them from Twiggy?
If the answer is “yes” to all of these questions, you may have TOTS! (Twiggy’s Old Toys Syndrome)
There is no known cure, unfortunately.
Hi to dad!
