“Twiggy. Look at all these delicious leaves.”
“Oh no. Tempeste, you leave them alone.”

“I’ll leave them alone. Alone with me in my mouth.”
“You are going to get in so much trouble.”

“Who’s going to know? Unless you tell.”
“I’m not going to tell, but you know those aren’t good for you.”

“Not good for me? Well, I think otherwise.”
“Come up on this porch now.”

“You sounded just like Mom.”
“That was Mom,”

“Oh man, just look out there. And more keep falling.”
“And you will make yourself sick if you keep eating them.”

“Look at this one.”
“Leave it.”

“It’s such a little one. Couldn’t possibly hurt.”
“You are going to develop a leaf dependency if you’re not careful.”

“What a way to go.”
“Oh, brother. You’re hopeless.”
“Okay, I’ll leave them alone.”
“If only.”

Great

I like how Twiggy takes her role as the big sister seriously. Dot does the same trying to steer Lia in the right direction (often to no avail) Have a super weekend!!

The Fall–of leaves, will power, good sense and patience. Such a versatile word.

Too bad none of them apply to Tempeste. 😊

I envisioned fall (or lack) of will power might apply to her. 😇🤓🤔

Tempeste needs an intervention.

She does. At least she is at a stage where she tears the leaves up rather than eating them.

Poor Tempeste needs an intervention and leaf rehab to detox. Good thing Twiggy’s watching her back. Sending them both belly rubs. Thanks for the smiles, John.

Tempeste certainly has a leaf fixation. And Twiggy is being such a good big sister to try to get her to NOT eat them. I suggest leaving a few out there for her to eat but put some hot sauce on them. One taste and she’ll be cured of eating them. We’ve done that with our cats and it worked.
Belly rubs to both my favorite canine girls!

She really doesn’t eat them. She likes to tear them apart. The hot sauce is a good idea, though.

Tempeste has a leaf fixation as another blogger I follow’s Frenchie has a rock one! Funny how they pick something and, for no good reason, cannot help themselves. Twiggy is going her best but…

The rock one is real dangerous if they swallow them. Yes is is funny.

I’m grateful the Monk doesn’t eat leaves. I can’t imagine they’re good for a pup. Still, after the yard’s mulched, Monk brings itty-bitty pieces of leaves inside with him — attached to his furs — and what a nuisance that is! Almost as aggravating as balls of snow.

So far the leaf habit has not produced any side effects. (knock wood.)

Eating leaves? Yuk! They do have an attraction to dogs. Lucy loves plowing through the piles along the street, even burying her head completely. No, she doesn’t eat them but does enjoy peering on them. Hope those aren’t the ones that drifted south and into your yard.

I’ve never seen a dog eat leaves before! The grass/flowers/rocks yes. Our neighbors’ dogs eat the dirt underneath the grass because it’s really hidden bunny turds. Yuuckk. Don’t tell Twiggy. She’ll give Tempeste a huge lecture!
