I never understand why folks don’t put their Christmas decorations away. The food looks very good, hard to decide.

Neighbors still have lights up, but they also have kids so the parents may have been outvoted. Still cheerful (and not those inflatables). ha

Living in Michigan, I can understand why people want to keep the Christmas lights up. If there isn’t snow on the ground, reflecting
the light, it’s often very overcast and gloomy here.
But as much as I like Christmas lights, I usually make a point to get mine down during the first week of January – shortly before I return to teaching after holiday

Some folks leave the decorations up for quite a while, and they look nice. I wonder why, but I don’t disapprove.

I would love the bagel with salmon – we are “snowed in” this morning – we had 3 inches – and everything is closed (it’s the South). I loved the boy bands so the music this morning is wonderful!

Here in Central Illinois, where temps have been way below freezing and there’s a bunch of snow on the ground, I can understand folks not wanting to remove Christmas decorations. Besides the cold, it’s kind of nice seeing lights on these gray days. Still, I got mine down during the one day we had that wasn’t horrid. Part of me finds that deflated penguin awfully sad, and that Christmas tree is just begging to be recycled.

I gave up putting lights and decorations anywhere that required a ladder to get them down. The weather never cooperates.
I’ll have that skirt steak & eggs – fried eggs, crispy potato, tzatziki (I had to look that up, but it looks pretty good).

Hahaha laughing at the left over decoration. We have rats in the attic we’re trapping out so the xmas clutter is still in the room waiting to go back “home”. My mantra.. “go with the flow”. Xmas in February.. yikes. xx

In our cold temps, you can understand why the decorations stick around for a bit… they wait until they are sure not to get frostbite! I have taken walks in March and noted the decorations still up! Now that is ridiculous…

Maybe they just forgot to bring in that last one. The green Martian? group is really weird but I guess the Santa hat was their nod to Christmas. I’ll have the avocado toast, thank you. Glad to have the regular bus back.

In Sweden (my native country) you throw out the Christmas decorations on January 13 (tjugondaknut). I guess here in Texas it is sometime in July.

There’s a house I pass on the way to the gym where they leave a couple of skeletons sitting on a bench year round – but they’re dressed up for each holiday. It’s always amusing to see them wearing bunny ears around Easter.

While I took my decor down Christmas afternoon (I always take it down right after gifts have been opened), I did the Christmas cards that had been forwarded from the post office but they’re gone now. 😉 Funny folks in your neighborhood (and a couple just weird-the alien house with all the other stuff-whoa!).
