“Tempeste, are you going to sleep the day away?”
“It’s raining.”

“We can still play inside.”
“But it’s so cloudy.”

“For heaven’s sake. You would think it’s Monday the way you are acting.”
“Might as well be Monday. Can’t you hear the rain?”

“All I hear is some delicious bacon being made.”
“Yeah, right. You know we don’t get bacon.”

“Well, there is always a first time.”
“Those two guard that people food like it was priceless.”

“You are right, of course. I guess we have to be content with the scent.”
“Which brings me back to asking why we need to get up?”

“I guess you are right again. Go back to your nap.”
“I want a record of that.”
“What?”
“The part where you said I was right. Twice.”

Young ladies… you have been the first reason for me to smile today! (putting the bacon on just to share with you)

We can smell it from here, Miss Annette. Thank you.

Wonder if they make bacon for dogs.

They do. It’s called Beggin’ Strips. There are many others, too.

Rainy days make for good couch time. Bacon would make it better.

Sooo true. Thanks, Teri.

It rained one whole day here the other day, and both dogs wouldn’t budge from the couch. I don’t know how they could hold it so long. They just were not getting up and going outside. They didn’t get bacon either. ⛈️

Ha ha ha. Sometimes they amaze us for sure.

Rain naps are lovely. Being denied bacon? Not so much. I’d go back to sleep to avoid that frustration myself.

Seems cruel to deny them, but we have a no-people-food rule. Thanks, Linda.

Sounds like a good plan for a rainy day. Except for that whole no-bacon thing.

Yeah, that seems a bit extreme.

Awww, poor Tempeste. She is in a mood.

She is. She also likes her nap, too.

No bacon?! Frankie loves bacon in small doses. I wouldn’t get up either.

It was raining all day, so it was very good for us all.

Tempeste’s eyes say it all. Sorry, sweetie. No bacon. Twiggy looks like the smushiest little pillow. Mind if I sit with you girls? It’s raining here, too.

Come on, Miss Lois. There is always room for one more. 😁

Twiggy is usually right – Tempeste just hasn’t figure that out yet. We got some of that fake dog bacon for our dogs – they loved it and stopped pestering us!
Tempeste looks so mournful smelling the bacon. Give them both belly rubs for me! They make my day.

Thank you for the belly rubs, Noelle. 😁

It’s nice to see the girls relaxing, John, with Tempeste admitting that Twiggy is right. Bacon sure smells good, and tastes good too.

They would love to have bacon. We have a no-people-food rule, so all they can do is smell. Thanks, Tim

Ah bacon. How bout a BLT Tempeste. Have you ever had one?
It’s been raining here too, cats and dogs as they say. I think I just saw a Twiggy lookalike swim passed the window. 🙂

You two crack me up. So mum and dad don’t share even a small morsel of bacon?

Nope. They believe people food is not the way to go. 😁

Interesting. Wilson will eat just about anything if I let him!

These two will as well. Trying to keep them out of the vet’s office can be a challenge.

I love your last photo of Tempeste’s head on her sister’s backside! You know, they’re right: a rainy day nap is the best! The Monk doesn’t cotton to the no-people-food rule either, but it’s really for their own good. And he’s doing so much better, now that he’s banned from animal crackers, ha!

We never know what people food will do. We just banned it for these two.
