Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Indoors on a Hot Day

I’m sorry for the goof-up yesterday. Tempeste jumped up on the couch while I was working on the post, and poof, the post was published. It was far from finished, so I had to take it down. Sorry for any confusion.

“Ladies. Today is going to be a hot one, so it’s indoor play for you two.”

“Indoors like the whole day?”

“No, but for the majority.”

“So, Twiggy. What should we do?”

“Well, first I think we ought to take it easy and do some quiet toy play.”

“Quiet toy play? What the heck does that mean?”

“It means we each get a toy and amuse ourselves.”

“That sounds boring. How about the panther stalks the puma?”

“We can do that later.”

Oh, come on. The panther lies low, watching the unsuspecting puma while it eats a marshmallow.”

“The puma knows the panther is there but chooses to ignore her.”

“Gee whiz. I thought we could get something going.”

“I had just started on this marshmallow when dad came in, so I would like to finish it.”

“Okay then. I can take a hint. I wonder if I should play with Chicken Licken or Hello Kitty?”

“Either one is a good choice. Cookie is over there, too.”

“Yeah, I need Dad to play with cookie. I think he is outside.”

“I’m sure he would come in to play with you.”

“He’s got a hose and is cleaning something. Best to leave him alone.”

“Well, you’ll just need to pick another toy.”

“The Panther stalks Chicken Licken.”

“The puma gets ready for some kind of ruckus.”

“The panther drags its prey toward the lair of the puma.”

“The puma tries her hardest not to roll her eyes.’

“The panther prepares to climb the mountain and devour her prey.”

“The puma tells the panther not to talk wth her mouth full.”

“The panther laughs out loud.”

“The puma joins her.”

The page with comments section Wouldn’t come up, John, but watching the girls find ways to amuse themselves is always a lot of fun. Their toys are so colorfully named! Twiggy was definitely ruling the roost this morning! Treats for both of them! Noelle

The girls are still just as hilarious – love the stalking going on and not talking with your mouth full. They’re like toddlers!

I always enjoy the dog day.
There are twin Bulldogs like you’re up the street. One day I’ll ask the guy if I can take a picture to send you. A black and white. Just like yours. I think they a brother sister or ?
Let your two run through the sprinkler or playing the pool on this hot day.

We have done the pool thing. Twiggy hates it. Tempeste loves it. I’ll get some photos and do a story.

This looks like a very entertaining play session. Twiggy and Tempeste have a lot more toys than I had as a child 🙃

I think Twiggy did that on purpose because she was already ready for her close-up. You know how girls are, especially French girls. When they’re ready, they’re ready. Just you wait until Tempeste gets a little older. She’s still a teen. She’ll be ten times more divaesque than her older sister.

    Oui?

Tempeste is moving in that direction for sure. I heard her say to Twiggy, “Enough about me. Let’s talk about you. How do you like my latest toy?”

Well those are some cutie patooties. I think I read with their smushed faces that they can struggle with breathing. I imagine excessive heat would make their lives hard.

Yes, we have to be very careful. All bulldogs have little ability to cope with high heat.

These are some tough days then considering bathroom breaks are in the great outdoors. I think my husband’s childhood pug had similar struggles.

Pugs do have the same problems. The idea is to make the trips short and keep water handy.

Ha! Tempeste was ready to get her weekly dose of blog fame whether you were ready or not. Lately, Velma’s favorite path to the window (beside my desk) is to go from the window seat to my desk, step on the computer and then to the window. (Rather than from the seat to the window.) So, I hear you.

This was a fun visit with the girls, and the bit about eating with her mouth full was a grand finale. Hugs.

I referred you to a blogger, SIGMADOG, so you might see something from him. He’s in WA State. He discovered me yesterday and is a pretty good writer and he’s a unique artist of dog portraits. Check him out.

Meantime, we’re getting ready for a weekend garage sale. You know what that means? More opportunities to say dumb things to the ‘leader of the pack’, like why don’t I put a sign on the back of our car and drive around town advertising it. Boy, that was really a dumb one. I’ll let you know if we survive the weekend……

I love the fact the girls have so much variety with their stuffies, and you really have to give Tempeste some props for trying to expand her hobbies further by entering the publishing world. I know what I looked like when a spreadsheet I was working on suddenly vaporized one day, so I can only imagine your reaction when your post posted prematurely lol.
