Thursday – A Little Personal – Twiggy and Tempeste Are Back – (So’s Dad)

“Gosh, Tempeste, I’m beat.”

“*Snort*… what did you say?”

“Sister went home, and we had such a good time, I’m exhausted.”

“Me, too. It was wonderful having her here.”

“Yeah, it was. All that playing does wear one out.”

“Notice I’m not moving too fast.”

“Yeah, I noticed. What are you doing?”

“This is my upside. down dog yoga move.”

“That is very strange. I haven’t seen that move before.”

“That’s cause I just invented it.”

“Enough of this lying around. I’m getting up.”

“That couch jump is going to get you into a big bunch of trouble.”

“No one’s to know unless you blab. Ah, down-facing dog.”

“Don’t worry. You have enough on me to guarantee my silence.”

“Up-facing dog. How about it? You going to move today?”

“I think I’ll just stay here and rest my eyes.”

“Well, okay. I guess I’ll find something to do by myself.”

“Maybe that’s a good thing.”

“Or maybe I’ll just close my eyes, too.”

“Now you are talking. Best way to get over someone you miss.”

“I do miss her.”

“Me too.”

Here in UK, we are following Twiggy and Tempeste’s lead. In this heat, resting is the only thing that makes sense…

Oh, to relax like the pups do. 😊 It sounds like you had a wonderful visit, John. I think time with family gets more precious as we age — memories abound and tears flow. And visits end much too quickly. That said, your blog family welcomes you back to the blog world.

Thank you, Gwen. You are so right about the memories, tears, and the too-quick ending. Being able to spend time with both daughters was a blessing beyond measure. I’m also grateful for the blog family welcome home. 😊

The girls obviously got spoiled (and exhausted) by your sister, John. I love the yoga poses – my cats have the same – and Twiggy’s upside down yoga pose is a hoot and in invitation for a belly rub.

Of course they are pooped! All that excitement of having their big sister around. And if it’s stinking hot out there to boot, what else is there to do but rest?

    Welcome back, John!

Aww… so much love in this post, John. LOL, all that stretching and then flop over. I get tickled whenever pets stretch that way. With the Scoobies I call it Downward-Facing Dog and Upward-Facing Kittycat. They glare at me for the dog part. Of course, Velma’s cat-yoga is followed by the Red Wiggler routine, to the tune of the “commercial jingle” from WKRP (changed to Cadillac of Cats). Anyhow, I’m glad you all had a great visit. Welcome back, and big hugs.

Love the insightful comments from the duo. Downward facing dog is not quite in that position but close enough.

Bond is quite partial to the upside down dog pose, especially when he’s napping on the screened porch. Twiggy has excellent form on down and up dog. Sounds like you had a great visit, John!
