“Hey, Twiggy. What are you looking at?”
“A whole herd of moochers.”

“Moochers? What do you mean?”
“Those deer who have Mom buffaloed.”

“Scoot over, let me see.”
“There they are getting handouts.”

“Wow. You are right. Why do you call them moochers?”
“Because they always have a hoof out for carrots.”

“Carrots? You and I don’t eat carrots.”
“I know it’s just the principle.”

“Oh, I get it. Mom pays attention to them.”
“Well, yeah.”

“And you are jealous.”
“Hold on. There’s one that deserves to be barked to St Louis.”

“How long have you had this obsessive jealousy of the deer?”
“I don’t have an obsessive jealousy. It’s just, I think these guys have the potential to take over the yard.”

“A cute little fawn like that one is going to take over?”
“It grows up. Sometimes it turns into a big ole buck.”

“Well, they are leaving.”
“They will be back. Trust me.”

“You going to wait here for them?”
“I just might.”

“How long are you going to wait?”
“We have all day.”
“What do you mean, ‘We?'”
“Okay then. I have all day.”

Lol…whatever the girls might call them, what a wonderful sight to have in your front garden… hugsx

We don’t see any deer here, only squirrels and rabbits, so I’m not sure what my girls would do if they saw one. I know the squirrels and rabbits stear clear. Happy Dog Day!!

Ha ha ha. That could be true. Tempest’s favorite chew toy. Found in the woods. 😊

It’s nice to see the girls watching the deer, John, and I think it’s nice that they get carrots from Mom. I wonder why the girls are jealous. Don’t they get treats?

They get treats, but when they see others getting them, it is hard to remember that fact.

Those are some bold deer! The ones around here would never approach our door. Then again, Lucky could be a deterrent.
I really love the antler toy behind the girls on the floor. It’s like psychological warfare! lol
Belly rubs to the girls. Thanks for the smiles, John.

Thank you, Staci. That antler is a favorite of Tempest. It was found in the woods. Obviously shed one year. Thanks for the rubs. 😄

Love the deer, and the fawn is so cute. But I can see that the girls might get jealous. At least they didn’t bark them to St. Louis. You’d have to throw them in the soundproof room! Do they play with that deer antler?
Anther fun time with the girls!

Tempest likes to chew on the antler. We found it in the woods. Was shed by a buck. They don’t bark at the dear unless they get too close to the window.

I got a kick of watching how your photos show Tempeste slowly taking over Twiggy’s lookout spot. How fun having deer in your yard, though. Better than TV. Hey, girls–is there room for me?

This is their TV. We have to shut the door in the evening so they can relax before bed.

I do enjoy seeing how close the deer get to your residence, girls. After having a summer without deer sightings, a group of nine have made an appearance in a nearby field in recent days. They seem to be doing well. Parents and kids munching away on the greenery, and nearby passers-by just fawn all over them.🦌

Our visitors are the same every day. Mom has names for them, and I can tell you it is disgusting to see her fawn over them too, Mr Bruce.

I’d say Tempeste had the upper hand in this exchange! (Sorry, Twiggy.)

Good advice, Miss Monika. I asked Mom if I could have a new toy in the meantime. She said, “No.”

Looks that way, doesn’t it? If these two were mountain lions, I would suspect something more nefarious. Thanks, Lynn. It is an actual antler found in the woods, shed by one of our friends.

Hahaha! Tide was excellent at keeping an eye out, not so much for barking, pretty good at hiding though.

They don’t miss anything in the yard do they? Tempeste can pretend to chase the big ole buck off with that antler rack on the floor.
You do have a great window for Deer viewing.
