Today we are going to the Lakeway Activity Center to stroll around the All-City Garage Sale. Joe’s Bakery and Coffee Shop is catering for us. Our entertainment is Smokey Robinson and the Miracles.
Menu

Hop on. Let’s go

The activity center.

If you don’t want to take your unsold stuff home, you can donate it.

Speaking of donations, here are three ways to do it for an entry fee.

A quick look at the selling area.

Lots of stuff and a chair.

Here is something for everyone. A little Christmas, too.

Looks like a handbag central with some clothes thrown in.

Drinkware, jewelry, and whatnot.

Mostly holiday stuff.

Handmade jewelry.

China and chairs.

Toys.

Cookware and trinkets.

Novelties and a hose.

Golf balls. Lots of golf balls
Well, that is it. I hope you got a good idea of what the Garage sale was all about. Time for food and music. I hope you have a wonderful week.

Such a great idea, a good way to get rid of some unwanted items. The menue looks awesome. Hard to pick. xo

We all have so much “stuff” and wonder how to get rid of it! John, you could use that helicopter in your defense arsenal 🐳

I have to look. At one time, I had Apache helos in my arsenal until Tom changed it. Good suggestion. 🐳

You still the Apache Helicopters in your defense shield. Mr. Tuna just missed them.

Great sale, thanks for sharing. The holiday stuff corner would have been the highlight for me 🙂 I even zoomed in. Although the golf balls were a sight as well!

Nice looking sale. My wife and her friend would do a garage sale in our garage twice a year. I was always elected to get tables set up. It was a chore. But we got rid of a lot of precious stuff (junk). Still can’t remember how we accumulated it all.
I hope you were able to buy a lot of stuff to lug home.

I bought nothing. I think I have everything I need. 😊

Hey, I gave a shload of food to the cause. These vendors are out for themselves. They don’t donate anything to the city.

As for the garage sale, Lakeway really knows how to put one on, tell you what.

My favorite is called 90 On 90, the several-city garage sale along Highway 90 that takes place in June. I have a gate-leg solid wood table I picked up there years ago. The towns involved are Sealy, Columbus, Glidden, Weimar, Schulenburg, Flatonia, Waelder, Harwood, Luling, Seguin, Geronimo, and McQueeney. I’m past my garage sale days, but at that one you always can stop at the various German and Czech bakeries for a treat.

That must have been a treat. Thanks, Linda.

This looks like a high end sale complete with food! Have fun, John! Do you have any treasures in there to sell?

We pretty much exhausted our treasure inventory, so we don’t do it anymore.

I would have so much fun looking around the displays, and what a good way to recycle. I think I’ll go for the Miga plate.

Your city doesn’t allow garage sales?
Did you buy anything? Or leave a donation?

I left a bag of canned and bottled goods but didn’t buy anything. The Producer corrected me. The city does allow garage sales with a permit.

I love me a good garage/yard sale! We have one here that is alleged to be the longest yard sale in the world. It starts in Gadsden, AL and goes up the highway (number?) and finishes up in Ohio if memory serves. Some astonishing stuff in your city garage sale. I would’ve loved to wander around and take a few ‘treasures’ home with me.

I’ll bet it is the world’s longest garage sale. Have you done it?

I’ve never made it all the way through. I got up almost to the northern Tennessee border a couple of times.

There is nothing quite like wandering through a giant community sale looking for hidden treasures! That table full of retro toys and holiday items would have kept me browsing for hours. Another fantastic Sunday virtual trip, John! 🛍️✨

How did you pass up that hose? Of course, your back yard probably doesn’t need one these days.

No, we have sprinklers there. Besides that hose was one of the kinds that kink.

It looks like it was a bit of a craft fair too. I’m sure I would have found stuff to bring home had I been close enough to go. 😀

Gee, that’s the giantest garage sale I ever saw.
I know, my English was bad, but the sale looks good. Everyone in one place selling would bring in a lot more buyers than if you just set up on the lawn… I would think.
Did you buy or sell anything, John?

That’s a really great way to do a garage sale, instead of the individual opening up their driveway, sitting in the sun for hours and not selling anything. You are living in a really cool community, John.
