“It’s a beautiful day. You two should be outside”
“Twiggy, you hear anything?”
“Just Dad.”

“Well, Tempeste, I guess we had better listen.”
“I agree, Twiggy. Besides, who can sleep with that racket going on?”

“Wait up. What’s the rush?”
“I want to see if that monster dog is out. I could use a good bark.”

“Since it is so quiet, my guess is the monster dog is not out.”
“Nope. Looks like he is in the house.”

“Where are you going now?”
“Although it is nice outside, I sorta want to play with a new toy Mom got me.”

“Correction. We both got a new toy.”
“Yeah, you are right. We each got one. I just take gifts like that as a personal expression.”

“I can understand that. I always feel good with a new toy.”
“It makes us both feel good, then.”

“Well, are you going to play with it?”
“You have to hide your eyes. I don’t want you to know where I stashed it.”

“For heaven’s sake, Tempeste, I’m not going to mess with your stupid toy.”
“You going for Marshmallow again?”

“I like marshmallow. The new toy is fun, but Marshmallow is my go to toy.”
“Where is your new toy?”
“I hid it.”
“See. And you called me out for doing the same thing.”
“Age has its privileges.”
Nothing like a new toy!

A dog from the neighbor’s place barks at us. He sounds like he is ten feet tall.

Monster dog? I hope it’s a friendly monster. There are four of those next door, a Great Dane and three progressively “smaller.” Even if there’s no barking, I smell the “evidence” every time I go outside… 💩
Thanks for this fun visit with the girls, John. Hugs.

Just a lot of barking when it is here. It is a visitor. Pain in the butt, but thankfully it is not here often.

She loves that toy. It has been the longest toy ever.

I wonder what the attraction is?

It has two strings with knots at the end. She likes to hold the toy and pull on the strings. When she was a puppy, she had a toy watermelon that had the same kind of string. Must remind her of that. 😊

I thought she just liked squishing it in her mouth. It must not taste so good after all this time!

It’s nice to see the girls, John. It’s great that they listen to you and that they got new toys. I guess they may have a barking war with the neighbor’s dog.

Yeah, when the neighbor’s dog is here (It visits), it loves to bark. We bring these two in when that happens.

Monster dogs and hidden toys. The girls certainly have their hands full. Or their paws, I guess. Sending them ear scratches.
Thanks for the smiles, John.

Yay for new toys! Bond is like Twiggy – he still has his favorites, and most of them are things Reese made with pipe cleaners. Weird.

Oh, age! Older we are, more stable we are in our affections. A good Italian joke on this topic came to my mind:
The son asks the father:
-Father, what kind of women are the most faithful: blonde or brunette?
– Grey-haired, my son. Grey-haired ones.
