Friday JohnKu – AKA – TGIF

Another week under our belt. The Friday milestone has been reached. This week has been productive from many points of view. More beta results for The Contract (Gwen Plano co-author) have come in and contained some excellent comments. We also got the first rendition of the cover and are excited about what will be the eventual finished product. I have continued to keep attention on my next book, and the story is developing well.

This week has been one of chilly weather. We have been recipients of some of the results of the Arctic blast. The whole country has been affected by the same movement of cold air.  We in the South see temperatures which are below seasonal averages. We can only hope the Jet Stream shifts to the North. This week’s JohnKu talks about the temperatures. I hope you have a great weekend.

We huddle and shake,

And hear of an Arctic mass. . .

TiKi’s as igloos?

Fantastic JohnKu! What an image, TiKi’s as igloos – says it all. 😀

    1. Thank you, Gwen. *brrrr

  2. Hope you guys get the natural warmth back. Doesn’t seem right seeing so many people from Texas and Florida complaining about the cold.

    1. Makes you want to tell us to suck it up doesn’t it. Ha ha ha. 😀

      1. Nah. I’m not that type of person. You guys have a right to complain considering you’re not used to it.

      2. Oh, thanks. We are tired of it that’s for sure.

  3. Good Morning, John. Lower than normal temps doesn’t seem right for you. Of course you couldn’t be so lucky that would happen in July-August. Damn Obama!

    1. I know right. I already sent a letter.

      1. Perfect … and the responders will no doubt agree.

  4. Part of me thinks it only fair for y’all to share in our misery — until I realize you’re not really equipped for it. Sounds like you’ve had another productive week!

    1. Thanks, Debbie. Was a good one. Thanks for not telling me to quit whining about the weather.

  5. BRRRRRRilliant!!!

    1. Thank you, Marc. ;-D

  6. We’re feeling the chill too, John.⛄️⛄️

  7. Think we’re getting more snow next week. I’ll take one more, then I’ll be ready for spring.

  8. You sure get some extreme weather on your island John. Hope it warms up soon.

    1. We do. This is unusual.

    1. Thank you, Andrew.

Hoping you warm up soon. Laughing at image of a tiki igloo:)

    1. I know right.”I have a margarita, hold the ice.”

  10. Dare I ask how cold, John? Mind you it was 8°f when I left for work this morning.

I should have started by saying that I did like your verse and I loved the photo!

    1. Yes. 50 degrees no son. (don’t laugh)

      1. Oooooooookaaaay. I feel bad for Lucy and Bailey. How’s that?

      2. Aw. You are such a mensch. 😀

  11. A devious looking raccoon. 😀 Crystal loves watching videos of baby raccoons.
Cute Johnku, but sorry about the weather. John, you are a true champion of multi-tasking. Kudos on a fantastic week. TGIF hugs.

    1. Thank you, Teagan. Stay warm this weekend. ;-D

  12. How exciting to watch The Contract be born. I know you and Gwen are ecstatic. It’s going to be a smashing success. How wonderful that your new story is coming along too. Stay warm, John!

    1. Thank you, Jan. I’ll try to stay warm.

  13. The weather is doing a fine job if keeping everyone on their toes. Try to enjoy your weeknd. 🙂

    1. Gotta have socks on those toes. 🙂

  14. A TiKi igloo sounds perfect about now. Great JohnKu!

  16. […] “The Temperatures by John W. Howell © 2018” I’ve been sick the past couple days and the hot/cold, headachy, stomach hurting is all part of these temps I think. […]

  17. I missed your Friday post but, hope you had a lovely week-end, and have a wonderful week!

    1. You as well, Deborah.
