“Hey, Lucy. How about a game of tug-o-war?”

“Oh, I don’t know. I was thinking of something rougher.”

“Like the puma takes the water buffalo by surprise?”

“Yeah, and the water buffalo prepares a defense.”

“There is no defense as the puma goes for the soft underbelly.”

“Which the water buffalo protects with sharp hooves.”

“The puma withdraws momentarily for another attack.”

“The water buffalo pummels the puma senseless.”

“The puna stikes again and this times hits paydirt.”

“The water buffalo gives the puma a whack with a powerful leg.”

“The puma is impervious to the pain.”

“The water buffalo uses her secret body hold.”

“Which the puma breaks in a second.”

“The water buffalo prepares for the final blow.”

“The puma rises up for the last attack.”

“The water buffalo is ready and deploys her jet black horns.”

“That was a good fantasy. Sure you don’t want to play tug-o-war?”

“Nope, I’m good.”

“If you want to play water buffalo and puma later, I’m willing.”

“I’ll be honest. Those fantasy’s wear me out.”

“I know what you mean. I think I’ll just chill with this tuggy.

  4. What a riot! My Dobes used to clash like a couple of lions…lots of dramatic snarling and baring of teeth, after which both would stop, sneeze, and smile at me. 🤣 How I love these fur kids….

  7. Are you starting a Zoo there John? A puma, a Water buffalo, and all the animals the girls hear in the garden. It’s going to mean a lot of extra work for you but you could grow the best Yellow Roses in Texas.

  23. The Twiggy Resort is preparing for winter times. Mr. Eel is the main referee of this Buffalo competition. It just occured to me, dear John, that smoked eel is an extremely delicious dish! 😁😀😁 But, please, keep your Mr. Eel alive. 🍻 Some bear for you to get warmer.

  24. I love watching the antics of these two, but no way could I put up with two of Monkey! That fur-kid has more energy than any five dogs, and I’d be worn to a frazzle. Thanks for letting me enjoy your girls vicariously!

  25. Oh, what a fun fantasy! I wonder if my cats Junior and Raji have the same fantasies … they often play the same way. Junior usually goes for the neck and Raji leans into his bite as if he’s getting a massage which he probably is since Junior has no teeth 😉

  33. It was a great struggle, which neither beast won! Much blood was not shed, although several hairs made it onto the carpet. It’s amazing what can be accomplished with so little body movement!
